can my video card make windows xp look better??? if so HOW???

hello BTSers

i have a question...

can my video card (ATI RADEON 9800 PRO) make windows xp look better???

what i mean is, can my video card make my regular computer experience (not gaming experience) look better???

P.S. i AM impressed (sp???) with the way my video card makes games look better...

Yes, but not very much. The only real difference iv seen with a better Video Card is the text is alot clearer and intriquit (sp?) wallpapers will look clearer. Mostly its just clarity.

It also depends upon what kind of monitor you have....some things could look completely different but you'd never know it....CRT monitors are better for 3-D perception but LCD monitors are better for clarity and refresh rates....

To be honest, you can make anything look better with a 256MB video card

make sure you have the latest driver, go to display property (in control panel) and make sure it's set to the highest color quality and the highest resolution you can use or like to use.

There's not much you can do besides that (the obvious).

If you want Windows Xp to "look better", download Talisman

Apart from any minor adjustements made to your video card you can also try WindowBlinds...

u gotta have program that is called driver, mayne

download it if you don't have it - www.ati.com... driver can change video settings for your monitor/winxp mayne

There's not much you can do to make your desktop look better, sorry to say. You could try using ThemeXP to change the look of windows with custom themes. Other than that there's not much you can do.
