Sure he did, but the planes weren't armed. Here's the story of a fighter pilot who was in the air at the time.

On the Tuesday that changed everything, Lt. Heather "Lucky" Penney was on a runway at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and ready to fly. She had her hand on the throttle of an F-16 and she had her orders: Bring down United Airlines Flight 93.

The day's fourth hijacked airliner seemed to be hurtling toward Washington, D.C. Penney, one of the first two combat pilots in the air that morning, was told to stop it.

The one thing she didn't have as she roared into the sky was live ammunition. Or missiles. Or anything to throw at a hostile aircraft.

Except her own plane. So that was the plan.

Because the surprise attacks were unfolding, in that innocent age, faster than their warplanes could be armed, Penney and her commanding officer went up to fly their jets straight into a Boeing 757.

"We wouldn't be shooting it down. We'd be ramming the aircraft," Penney recalls of that day. "I would essentially be a kamikaze pilot."

Except, as discussed, if Flight 93 was shot down it makes Rumsfeld and Cheney's involvement in 9/11 highly unlikely. You've found a tiny conspiracy and gone some way towards debunking your beloved major one.

I don't need to, I've spoken to numerous first hand eyewitnesses who worked in the towers and saw it. there were a lot of people in downtown NYC on a workday morning....

seriously? thats the best you can come up with? I don't have to show you the pictures, because no matter what i post, your ignorance isn't going to believe they are real..... REAL non government people saw both planes hit the towers.... heck even the stupid truther story says the planes were real now..... If your still doubting that planes hit the twin towers, you should just leave now..... this thread is way above you....
