Im fed up of all the doom and gloom on the dark side (ats) so i thought id talk about something i like. About five years ago i was dying of serious complications due to crohns disease. I couldnt eat anything as my intenstine was so narrow only milkshakes would go through me.
Anyway , one day i was compellled to buy peanut butter, (id always hated the stuff), well, i spent the next two years, (whilst battling the disease) eating the stuff out of a jar with a spoon (were talkiing half a large jar of sunkist a day.
Anyway im almost fully recovered now, and i still love that beautiful butter, I MEAN I LOVE AND ADORE IT, IT IS HEAVENLY.but im at a loss for ways to eat it. I dont like it with jam in a sandwich because i find it too sweet, i quite like it elvis style in a fried sandwich with bananas but thats not exactly a quick snack, when i have iit on toast it just seems to melt.
Any ideas anyone, i look a bit of a dope sitting there with my jar and my spoon.
ps bless you america for peanut butter

I LOVE PB!

And the person who put PB and chocolate together in the Reese cup deserves a medal!

PB is actually very healthy for you esp the natural form.

I put PB on everything.

For breakfast I usually have an english muffin toasted with pb and sliced bananas.

When I am feeling sick or nauseous I eat PB on a spoon and i feel better!

The last few days I have been a little nauseous due to pms and the only thing that didnt bother my stomach was PB.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

I love it too. Eat in on sandwiches with grapes and sliced apples or bananas instead of jelly and preserves.

Peanut butter was first made to offer a ready source of protein to people who had no teeth.

Hard to believe some people are so allergic it will kill them.

I still don't think it should be banned from school lunches and cafeterias.

Here is another great idea.
Banana, cup of skim milk and PB in a blender.
Add a scoop of non-fat dry milk protein powder and you have a super delicious and protein packed breakfast.

Yes, peanut butter is the staff of life.

Trader Joe's organic, creamy, salted.

Don't forget that it can easily be turned savory with a Thai, Vietnamese or Indonesian peanut sauce recipe.

Good job, OP, speak the truth.

Also on eggs with Sriachi. And peanut butter and egg sandwiches. And PB on apples and celery.

Best recipe ever?: Two packets of instant oatmeal, two tablespoons of peanut butter, cinnamon and sugar to taste. It is like eating a giant melting peanut butter cookie. And helps control weight.

Natural peanut butter....

Sooooo goood. Any peanut butter fan who hasn't tried it should get some ASAP. Don't be put off by the liquid separation, that is just the lack of a nasty chemical that keeps it from separating. And the taste... GODLY!

As your attorney I would advise you to make a chocolate and peanut butter sauce on low heat in a pan with butter. Then proceed to dip marshmallows into this amazing concoction. Thank me by PM later.

I Love peanut putter, i actually make my own, its very easy. You will find loads of recipe's on the internet, but its basically Peanuts,Oil and Salt. I add a little Manuka (New Zealand) honey to mine. A very healthy snack breakfast.
I also use Cashew Nuts in my other recipe and make "Cashew Nut Butter"

Also not so healthy but taste good, we have a chocolate spread here in Europe called Nutella, not sure if you get that in America. Spread peanut butter and Nutella on toast that comes straight out of the toaster so it all melts.. It is amazing!

Have you ever tried Nutella?
I dont know if it's available where you are but it is awsome.
It is made from hazelnuts and very similar to PB but it has a little cocoa in it and now I am hungry and have to go eat some. lolol

Its what i said in my post. I love that stuff!! Always got a big jar in my cupboard and it never lasts long!

Although, i think they market it different where you are from. The reality is, it is a chocolate spread with a little hazelnut in it and it is nothing like peanut butter.

Keep these in the fridge for a quick snack...you can also add chocolate chips...or butterscotch chips.

They only take about 5 mins to whip up...I some times add nuts or uncooked oatmeal to them too.

When I first went on the Atkins diet, I would take peanut butter and spread it on bologna and make kind of a taco out of it. That is really good, and quick.

They sound good, although looking at the ingredients, I wouldn't want to eat to many of them, they would go straight on my butt.

I suffered with Ulcerative Colitis for 6 years racking up $1000's in Dr. bills, unimaginable pain, being treated like a guinea pig for new and expensive treatments all of which only masked the problem never CURED it (which I believe most Dr’s no longer cure anymore thank you DRUG COMPANIES!!!).
Anyway one Christmas I was having a severe bout taking loads of meds, steroids and painkillers I ate something I normally only have at this time…CASHEWS! I ate a couple handfuls as it was the holidays and I was being piggish LOL. Anyway 24 hours later I felt better…epiphany!

Now I eat them mostly daily. I have even gotten to where I can go a few months now without eating them. But had a small relapse recently but soon as I started the routine again I was better!

BRAVO TO YOU! For figureing out what the quacks cannot! (On a side note not all Dr’s are bad I found one my GP who helps when I have the pain WHICH there is and a Gastroenterologist (QUACK) Specialist denied, my GP also believes in more holistic approaches not just throw drugs at it. Like Dr’s used to do.)

Haven't you heard...butts are in. If you add enough uncooked oats to make it a stiff mixture...it negates the calories
