I Love peanut putter, i actually make my own, its very easy. You will find loads of recipe's on the internet, but its basically Peanuts,Oil and Salt. I add a little Manuka (New Zealand) honey to mine. A very healthy snack breakfast.
I also use Cashew Nuts in my other recipe and make "Cashew Nut Butter"

Also not so healthy but taste good, we have a chocolate spread here in Europe called Nutella, not sure if you get that in America. Spread peanut butter and Nutella on toast that comes straight out of the toaster so it all melts.. It is amazing!

Nutella or peanut butter first? Actually i am welsh so i do know about nutellla, but heres a real weird thing about me and chocolate, or is it chocolate and I, I HATE IT, i really dislike chocolate with a passion, im also not a handbag or shoe (sorry mblanick) lover, in fact its only the two lumps im looking down at now that are convincing me that im a girl at all !

I dont know if it's available where you are but it is awsome.

Its what i said in my post. I love that stuff!! Always got a big jar in my cupboard and it never lasts long!

Although, i think they market it different where you are from. The reality is, it is a chocolate spread with a little hazelnut in it and it is nothing like peanut butter.

No its nothing like PB at all, in fact the way its marketed in this country makes my blood boil, its recommened as a healthy brekkie for kids, no its bloody well not, theres about one hazelnut in half a pint of chocolate spread. My kids get porridge and 50/50 toast or granary toast with marmite.

Keep these in the fridge for a quick snack...you can also add chocolate chips...or butterscotch chips.

They only take about 5 mins to whip up...I some times add nuts or uncooked oatmeal to them too.

When I was pregnant I craved peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches on whole wheat bread....the peanut butter had to be organic and the mayo - home made as well as the bread......these sandwiches are not for everyone...but they were yummy to me!

Every once in a while...I will still have one...for ole times sake....(lol)

Im fed up of all the doom and gloom on the dark side (ats) so i thought id talk about something i like. About five years ago i was dying of serious complications due to crohns disease. I couldnt eat anything as my intenstine was so narrow only milkshakes would go through me.

I suffered with Ulcerative Colitis for 6 years racking up $1000's in Dr. bills, unimaginable pain, being treated like a guinea pig for new and expensive treatments all of which only masked the problem never CURED it (which I believe most Dr’s no longer cure anymore thank you DRUG COMPANIES!!!).
Anyway one Christmas I was having a severe bout taking loads of meds, steroids and painkillers I ate something I normally only have at this time…CASHEWS! I ate a couple handfuls as it was the holidays and I was being piggish LOL. Anyway 24 hours later I felt better…epiphany!
My friend, i TRULY understand what you mean by unimaginable pain, i was on high doses of oramorph at one point, pregnisolone (steroids), my intense pain would last from 1 in the afternoon to around 5 in the morning, id try and sleep on a cold tile floor, or strap four hot water bottles around my belly to numb the pain and grab a few minutes sleep. in the end i had 15 inchs of my intestine removed and have been pretty much top dollar since.
The thing with the peanuts was i suspect, just like when your pregnant and your body needs certain vitamins and mineral, maybe during my illness my body thought the nuts would be just the trick to keep me alive.

Now I eat them mostly daily. I have even gotten to where I can go a few months now without eating them. But had a small relapse recently but soon as I started the routine again I was better!

BRAVO TO YOU! For figureing out what the quacks cannot! (On a side note not all Dr’s are bad I found one my GP who helps when I have the pain WHICH there is and a Gastroenterologist (QUACK) Specialist denied, my GP also believes in more holistic approaches not just throw drugs at it. Like Dr’s used to do.)

Now i did see cashew nut butter in asda the other day, but it was quite dear, but im gonna get some tomorrow, because i really like cashews but the weird thing is i really dont like peanuts, if you gave me one salted, honey roasted, or plain i would have to refuse because i really dislike them.
Right im of to ATS now just to see if a volcano has erupted in shetland or the queens had tea and cucumber sandwichs with some annunaki in the grounds of windsor castle.

Peanut butter and lettuce sandwiches. It has to be the thick type of lettuce. Iceberg lettuce.

Also an easy peanut sauce for pork, chicken, or similar dishes:

1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
tablespoon or so of brown sugar ( or honey, or maple syrup - experiment here)
spash of lemon or lime juice
dash of olive oil

optional:
ginger (fresh minced or ground)
garlic
cayenne pepper

Play with different amounts - I don't actually measure anything, it's all approximate. If it gets too sweet, add more peanut butter, if too salty, more peanut butter.
If it seems too thick, or is going to burn if you're cooking a pork chop or tenderloin in it, just add water. It thickens while cooking, so I usually end up adding quite a bit of water, depending on what you're cooking in it.
Doubles as a dipping sauce if you leave out the water.

Peanut butter has been of great benefit to me as well. My favorite way to eat it when I'm very low on energy is to use apple slices to scoop some out of the jar - Yummmm!

I will also tell you what my ex-husband's favorite sandwich in the world was - peanut butter and onion sandwiches! I never got up the stomach to try them myself, but to each his own.

Best of luck and continued improved health!

Crush graham crackers until they are flower like. Mix with peanut butter until the ratio makes it taste just like Reese's. Melt chocolate and make the best homemade peanut butter cups in the world.

1 pkg cream cheese, softened
1 container cool whip, thawed
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup confectioner's (powdered) sugar

Mix it all together and pour it into a graham cracker crust, chill for several hours - or even freeze it
You now have a no-bake peanut butter cheesecake!

It is great served frozen like an ice cream cake or chilled like an ordinary cream pie.

You can omit the sugar and it will be slightly less sweet, but it will still be sweet enough because of the cool whip.
