I don't care for Obama at all. His politics stink ... but fair is fair. He did inherit a big deficit from Mr. Bush.

how it is we have so many poor people opposed to taxing the rich and in favor of making life very miserable for other poor people is very odd. If only Obama weren't black perhaps we wouldn't be seeing this huge imbalance of judgement. I mean, what would be more devastating to rich people: a 3% tax increase or a ~90% drop in the value of the American dollar?

I say we just let the country fall. Our rich people are too powerful if they can convince their victims (poor people) that they have a moral obligation to give them more money. It had to topple sometime.

Obama should say things like "yer with us or agin us" and accuse his opponents of being unpatriotic... that sort of thing works for the unenlightened.

oh go cry me a river.

because thats the only thing i have been saying in all my ats activity. thats the only time i mentioned it. making a mountain out of an ant hill. care to reply to any other part of that quote? or do u just want to play the race card on the race card?

race is an issue and you know it is. only president in history that has been stonewalled this hardcore 24/7. in the 203 days since Republicans took control of congress they have only passed bills to eliminate jobs (2 million by some estimates) & have not introduced a single bill to create a single job. add the debt ceiling/budget debacle, and it looks like the Republican strategy is pretty straightforward: kill the economy, blame Obama in 2012.

This seems like its all about cynical election politics all around. The republicans dont want a big deal even if especially if it cuts the deficit a lot because Obama will get credit and a boost from that. Thats the reason for the 2 step deal. Thats also why Obama was willing to compromise so much. The economy, jobs and the welfare of the country come second

Pardon me if I jump in here. Its not race that is the issue it's policy. Pure and simple radical policy and uncontrolled spending up until now that was ushered in by a dem. majority in Obama's first half of his term. Now they want to shift the blame to the grumpy old GOP who wants to rain on the spending parade.

Obama's poll numbers reflect the growing sentiment of the voters who gave him a chance based purely on his empty rhetoric and empty promises. These former supporters are now cashing in their chips.

Race is irrelevant except to those who wish to use it as a tool. Our nation is in deep !@#$ and playing the race game does nothing to help the nation. Obama knows it and yet he and his handlers still feed the race monster.

thanks for your civil reply. i agree that its not the only issue. its an issue though but thats my opinion and you all are more than welcome to have others. the race tool has only been played because race is an issue. it was from the onset a long time ago before obama was elected president.

i agree that putting aside racial differences and solving problems is the way to go but i dont believe we have put aside racial differences unfortunately.

just forget i said anything about it and lets move on. attack me on the other issues if you all want to move past race discussion so bad. thnx.

James Carville announced the polling data on - blaming Bush - a few months ago.
- It does not work anymore. -
---------
The American people want solutions not excuses.
---------
Obama has been in office over 30 months. He has only made everything worse.
Even the democrats are running away from him.

You guys should know by now that Bush, Clinton, Obama, Kerry, Gore....and the like are all serving the same agenda. Kerry and Bush are bonesmen.....in my opinion these two 'brothers' have sworn an oath to the skull and bones and the wellfare, prosper (or no matter how you will call it) for the USA will come second place.....and not third if we are lucky.

From what I understand of it, being a bonesman is no childs play or fun pass-time during the stay at Yale.....Being a bonesman is life-changing and permanent. It will probably kill you if you will not take your membership seriously. Kerry was allowed to throw dirt and call Bush names during the campain. It is all in the game...if you want to play it convincing. You can guess where I am going with this....

Obama is no bonesman but It is not other than normal behaviour for someone like Obama to blame whatever he want on Bush....if it will serve the common goal on the agenda they have. Obama is campaining to inform the voters of the USA that he is still the one that can bring wellfare, prosper and not to forget change to the american people. Bush will thank Obama for being able to help him in any way...

The question was, why the derision for "class warfare" and why it's only an issue when somebody swings for the poor. I followed up with a question of whether it's related to the derision for "playing the race card" - whether it's simply a case of the haves getting pissed that the have-nots are noticing what's going on.

I love that simply using the term sends you into an immediate, frothing rage of defensive sputtering though.

That is fine. Pit one class against the other in a vane attempt to garner votes.
Nothing like saying "I'm for you, and look what he has!! You don't have it, do you? Lets go take it" to rally your base of voters.

Actually what I heard was, look at what they are allowed to get away with. Look at the advantages they are given. Look at the billions in government dollars spent to help them get, keep, and maintain all that they have. Look at the power over government that gives them. Look how that door revolves. Wouldn't you like to get away with that too? Or would you like everyone to have to play fair?

That is what I heard.

Whew! Thank god racism is all over with then. When exactly did that happen? I think my mother missed it.

Well, it sure is a quick and easy way to change the subject.
If someone plays the race card, then suddenly we are not talking about the 9.2% unemployment
rate or the $14.3 Trillion national debt. We are talking about whether someone is a racist.
Get it???

Well now, isn't that clever?

Here is the bottom line for all this tax, rich, etc. The definition by Obama is anyone who makes over $250K is considered rich. This I take issue with. My definition of rich is over $10M. A small business such as a plumber, electrician, etc will make that much, maybe a little more. Now by his logic these are the people who will ultimately pay the higher tax. Why? Because the $10M + guys can afford the best CPA's and financial advisers money can buy to shield their income and assets. They won't pay any more than they already are. I used to work for a company who's CEO had everything listed under his company. His actual income, on paper, was less than what I made. Yet he had a $3M home, a Dodge Viper, Harley, airplane, etc. So his taxes were very low. It is a game to them. When you get into the multimillions, you have it made. Anything under that and you are going to get nailed. The guy with $1M is no different than the $100k guy. He pays a lot in taxes.

I see Obama as just another grad student who hates free market capitalism.
They are running around all over the place.
-------
Obama wants the USA to look like Cuba.
- Think long unending recession. -
Fair shared sacrifice and just a very few elitists at the very top.

So I have learned my 11yo was taught this at her school a few months ago.

Teacher shows a picture of a large nice looking home with a yard, flowers, trees, nice car, etc...
Then she showed a mobile home in a lot, beat up car, trash littering the area, etc...

Teacher asked the kids what the families in each home ate.
The concensus of her class was steak for the large nicer home, and hotdogs/mac&cheese for the mobile home.

Then the teacher asked them if they thought this was fair.

Class warfare has started in our school system not too long ago, it is being indoctrinated for the future generations.
We have been heading to a pseudo facist-socialist-communist scoiety, and majority of the people want to be taken care of.

Sounds like you were indoctrinated very well then.

I see both sides getting away with crap.

Are you seriously asking us to believe that somewhere in a smoke filled back room in 2011 several prominent politicians in the Republican party are sitting around saying - "Let's get this black guy out of office"? You can't be serious.

While I will grant you there are some individual republicans who might have some prejudice on a personal level for simple reasons of plausible deniability they will never discuss it even with their peers.

They are stonewalling the guy primarily because he is a Democrat - that is pretty stupid if you ask me. Secondly, they are stonewalling him because he is driving the country into ruin with his socialist agenda. They feel they have a mandate from the people to do so based on the 2010 results.

I'll grant you they are not all as concerned with the county's fate as they are with making sure they get the White House in 2012 but I do not accept it is racially motivated.
