I've got and play most of those games on that list except a few. I'm surprised you didn't put the first Call of Duty on there or the first MOH. Those, Delta Force, and R6 were THE games to play.

Awaiting Saints Row 3, but that's not until November.

Also, I'd have to add Goldeneye to the list, since that was the "original" FPS game, and still playable thanks to the HL2: Source mod.

I sort of went through the games that I enjoyed most. I did enjoy both those games, but I felt the latter ones were a bit more interesting

Im awaiting Battlefield 3, MW3 and Tom Clancy's Future Warfighter...really looking forward to those 3

Maaaaan! Battlefield 3 is going to be nuts! Worms brings back a lot of good memories! I still play Counter Strike and I am currently replaying Fallout 3 right now. I still haven't played New Vegas though, I really want to! Zelda: The Wind Waker was a great game. Can't forget Contra & Super Mario Bros!

Hmm...always a good question:

1. Ace Combat 5
2. Final Fantasy VIII
3. Kingdom Hearts 2
4. Ghostbusters (the newer one)
5. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
6. Super Mario Brothers 3
7. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
8. Team Fortress 2
9. Pokemon Black
10. Command and Conquer Generals
11. Sim City
12. Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
13. Oregon Trail (on the old rickety computer where you had to use a 5.5" floppy disk to play it!)
14. Ace Combat Zero (the soundtrack alone merits a place on this list)
15. Metal Gear Solid
16. Super Smash Bros. Melee
17. New Super Mario Brothers
18. Radar Mission (Old Game Boy game I always played, evidently you can get it for the 3DS now)
19. 1943 (The handheld game. Hard as hell, but all the beeps and boops made it a wonderful experience)
20. Magic Johnson's Basketball (NES)
21. Homefront
22. Medal of Honor (Original)
23. Medal of Honor (2010)
24. Vegas Stakes (another old Game Boy game)
25. Destroy All Humans! (come on...who can't have fun anal probing int he 1950's?)

I've been gaming a long time so this is a pretty diverse list. I played the NES until 1997 and then my dad got a Playstation that I eventually got a few years later as well as a Gamecube. Its hard to play some of my older favorites (especially original game boy) since the graphics advancements just ruin your ability to use those older devices, but thankfully they made the Super Game Boy for the SNES and the DS still plays the Advanced so I'm covered

And just in case there are COD fans out there. I despise Black Ops, and can only tolerate the others because of their good storyline. MW2, for all of its abuses, is my favorite of the franchise just because you have a balance between being able to rush around or sit back and let the enemy come to you (not camping a door, but using a roof or other open space to cover a large area with your weapon as enemies come by, big difference).

Nah, I disagree with you. I play different games on different formats for different reasons and whilst I dont enjoy the FPS single player stuff that much, the different online games you can play are awsome and never the same game twice. Thats because your playing with other people rather than a predictable linear storyline. In fact, I don't really like linear games if I am honest
(despite their being one or two in my list haha)

1. World of Warcraft - not sure if its allowed and yes it makes me a geek

2. Modern Warfare 2
3. Black ops - I know its not as good as MW but I love the 'gambling' games
4. Fallout 3
5. The Wild Bunch - an old spectrum game that was uttery pants but utterly addictive for no good reason

6. Command and Conquer Generals
7. Laser Squad
8. Rebel star
9. Speedball (1 not 2, 2 lost something imo)
10. Kick off 2
11. Player manager
12. Worms
13. Football manager / Championship manager
14. House of the Dead (arcade)
15. jet set willy - yes I know

16, sabre wulf

I think I have forgotten many games that have brought joy to my life and sorry for the oldies :-P

Great post S+F

Are you serious? Your first response is this? Not only did you not answer the OP correctly, but you attempt to put FPS's down as well and that's just beyond ignorant, for the FPS genre has taken video games and it's veil of 'nerd secrecy' and turned it into what it is today. Video games wouldn't be nearly as popular if it weren't for online gaming and what does online gaming consist mostly of? First Person Shooters. How much more imagination do they really need to put into Halo or a game based off true stories such as Call of Duty? Because, both of those games have actually pioneered the video game genre 10x fold my friend. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare's graphic engine and detail in 1080P was soo ridiculously beautiful, I got chills playing it for the first time. When I cut into a Locust for the first time with my Lancer, and I saw this gore I've never seen before in a game, I loved it from that moment on. When I played Delta Halo for the first time, flying in with the ODST, being exposed to Hi-Res 480P ruins, it literally took my breath away....
So where is this 'Lack' you're talking about when it comes to some of the titles he's mentioned? Because from what I can see, they're all very well respected titles that made it big because of the production teams efforts in the 'imagination' department.
Now, I do agree with you about it in one sense, which is that games nowadays are completely casual and watered down. It's worse than the radio now. Casual is the thing apparently. Halo 3 is far more casual and easy to play than Halo 2. When I realized they cut half of the skills in Oblivion compared to it's old predecessor Morrowind, and that all the caves and secret places contained randomly generated items based off level scaling, I was pretty pissed. Bottom line is, if you don't like FPS's, then don't play them. But don't come onto a thread where the OP is asking you to list YOUR favorite 25 games, and the first thing that is typed from your fingers is "I think you're wrong about your own favorites."

Here are some others I have left out:
- Time Crisis 1&2 (Arcade)
- Tetris Attack (SNES)
- Area 51 (Arcade)
- Mario Paint
- Skate
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1, 2, and 3
- Frequency
- Star Wars: Jedi Academy II
- Gears of War 1&2
- Golden Sun: The Lost Age (GBA)

OZ, please don't kill me if i derail your thread.

This a question for all the gamers out there that have VOIP/TS/VENT...etc:

What do you most dread to hear over voice?

Mine is: "U mad Bro?"
