Twitter is fairly frequently overcapacity, especially when there's a big story. It looks like a normal 'over capacity' situation to me - I've managed to get to view LS's twitter page, then when I was refreshing, got 'over capacity' again - all that is a familiar occurrence for frequent twitter visitors.

I understand that, but when i try: "Paris" for example, there is no problem. I'm not a d-base or network expert, but is that possible?

Different pipelines for different keywords?

If they pull the 'plug' - (which they won't) - they will cause billions of pounds worth of damage to hundreds of thousands of companies.

The internet killswitch will NOT happen.

Obama simply doesn't have that power. nor will he risk damaging hundreds of thousands of companies.

There could be regulation on public/ in home Internet access though..

I don't know whether it's possible for a single twitter user's page to be over capacity when others aren't - I'm no expert either, lol.

Perhaps it's possible if people visiting the hacked sites are being redirected to their twitter feed?

I watche this all unfold on LulzSec's twitter, and it was great, watching a story in the making. Even if Murdoch goes, he will still be the power behind the curtain, maybe all the more dangerous. He will reach out to his political allies now, just watch. Politicians will call for greater Internet controls, so we must be ready.

SKY news utterly fail at journalism.

They call LULZSEC anonymous and they also call the LULZ boat - 'louise boat'

I'm getting

An error occurred while processing your request.
Reference #97.1e6ee93f.1311030620.196063de

this is not an internal server error.
This looks to me like they are getting MAC addresses from machines visiting the site.

That is not a MAC address. It looks to be an error generated from the server end probably tied to congestion or service unavailability (makes sense given the hype).

I love this. LulzSec and Anon both. This is the start of something. Whether or not it's something good or bad i think this is the kind of thing a lot of people have been waiting for.

All aboard the LulzBoat (or the "Louise/2 boat if sky are reading this
)

Peace

Heard on the radio that this is a possibility. Also heard that Ruperts daughter may take over operations in the UK....and she is a HUGE foe to Roger Ailes, the brainchild behind Fox News.

She hates Roger Ailes...this could may change the world.

So whats the relation between The sun and Notw? that they going to leak emails from the Notw within The Suns Email server?

The two papers are owned by the same company. That company will have a single IT infrastructure, not one per newspaper. I was an IT Manager for 20 years I know how companies organise. So Yes, if you compramise one network you get the lot I would have thought.

Good to see the ball is still rolling. The revolutioin has begun. Pick up your flowers people, and be seen.
