The operative word here is "mixed up". My morning glory story is the opposite of yours. I've got the self-seeding kind and decided not to have any this year. Unfortunately every single seed that hit the ground last year has germinated and keeps on coming up. From early spring until now I have had the daily chore of having to pull out dozens of seedlings. They are everywhere -- worse than weeds. I kid you not, its been non-stop. My morning glories have turned out to be the predator plant that wants to take over the world.

The point is it seems like all the rules have changed. Plants that used to do well don't anymore and those that shouldn't are thriving. I have several specimens of 2 types of tropicals (Castor bean and Hyacinth bean) that have come up on their own in my yard from seed that survived the winter outdoors. Normally you would have to store the seeds overwinter indoors.

Everything is just mixed up.

Update from me here, Laughing but not laughing at the same time.
We just picked our first 3 red tomatoes here in Southern Ontario.
Our freezer should be full and so should our stomachs right now.
The actual plant leaves are starting to turn yellow so we are in for a miniature crop this year.
Regards, Iwinder

Yes Skorpiogurl, definitely.

The Sun is brighter than it was 20-30 years ago, even in the winter.

It's more of a white light, as opposed to the yellow I remember.

That would explain why my veg. garden bolted; and only
now, start of sept. (cooler weather), are getting late blossems.
I just picked the 1rst batch of beans and tomatoes.
Last year they were ready to pick at the 1rst of aug.
