Go to www.photobucket.com. Upload your pics there, it is free! And it works very easily.

Don't know if you've noticed, but you have a NUMBER of UFOs in your pictures. The long cigar-shaped tubes and discs and spheres.

Just wanted to point that out. They are NOT in the same position in any of the other pictures.

But I do agree, the quality of your pictures are breathtaking!

I do believe that what you are seeing is merely the stars that has become elongated, and blurred because of the long exposure of the picture, and the subsequent very small movement of the camera during the long exposure, resulting not only in the pics being a bit out of focus, but also the "ufo's" you are observing.

S&F for the great pics. I was hoping someone did take some pictures as, here in the Northeast of US, we didn't get to see the eclipse.

VVV hi!

I think I positively tracked the "shooting star" I saw.
It was Cosmos 1844

nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov...
www.n2yo.com...

Crossing through Scorpio Constellation right in front my balcony more or less at 22h30'

It's been a lot easier than I thought thanks to the new satellite tracker at stellarium

Have a nice day!

On a quick simulation, I've pinned Johannesburg, from 22h15-23h00 on these nights you can see (brittle lights I assume, star-like)

ISIS2
OAO2
RESURS-DK 1
KORONAS-FOTON
METEOR-1
SL-6 R/B
ALOS (DAICHI)
COSMOS 2278
OKEAN 3
SUZAKO ASTRO-E11
MIDORI-II
ATLAS-CENTAUR 2
ENVISAT

you're exposed to a lot of activity!

Great shots. Beautiful.

Unfortunately for me as well here in North America(SE) we didn't have a view of this, well not a good one at least from what I was told, (I didn't really check) because it was pouring rain and lightning all night anyway.

So yea thnx again for uploading these. Very nice!

That picture is incredible! It is awe-inspiring. The world we live in is filled with wonders...

I do have one question - Does anyone think this is prophetic?

"I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red..." Revelation 6:12

Not sure if it matters, but my husband was 5 hours south west of home and saw the same thing.
Also his tradie trainee, they both had start work not long after 5:30am, me I went back to bed! They both saw the same thing.
Weird alright.
