Ashamed to be a Canadian living in British Columbia (thankfully NOT Vancouver) tonight.

Thankfully, I am NOT a hockey fan.

This sort of nonsense happens all to often in many countries around the world. It's what happens when the Bread and Circus doesn't go as planned.

If only people got this upset about things that really, really matter, but while bankers and politicians do their own thing, people just sit back and let it happen.

It takes a hockey game loss for a real riot to break out.

they're looting, setting fires to cop cars, flipping cars/trucks, there was a fire in an underground parking lots there's think smoke billowing out over the city, helicopters circling, reading out the Riot Act. police dogs,
smoke grenades, tear gas, one cop in full riot gear had a C7.

I said this once and I'll say it again...

Common sense is bowing its head in shame. This is not the example we try to set and not the Canadian way.

That's an illusion, actually.

The Canadians are civilized. it's just that Americans are lazy, apathetic heaps of fat who refuse to fight for anything except Black Friday sales. Really, we think holding up a placard is protest. That's weak.

Stay classy Vancouver. Born there but in Victoria right now and am just shaking the head in laughter at what they're doing over there. Even though I am a Canucks fan, I was tempted to wear a Boston jersey to Vancouver. It's just misguided energy by rioting because of a hockey game. I can't currently think up a better way to release that energy though. (sitting at home doesn't count).
