I read somewhere, I think it was on the 'White House Insider' updates, that it was suspected that Nancy Pelosi was holding something over Obama, and that was why she remained Speaker after the disastrous mid term election results. The implication was that she threatened him wiith disclosure of something damaging unless she kept her status.

I'm not too sure about all this but Pelosi held nothing over Obama's head. they were both being fraudulent. He could have stopped it, but she went ahead with it. That's it!! May they enjoy a prison cell together!

Is it required to have "party certification" under constitutional law, or is this more of a ceremonial certification?
