Perhaps she saw This, where another big EQ was predicted within the next 12 months. It didn't happen, it was just advised as a possibility.

Probably unrelated but there has been a giant tunnel exposion in Christchurch NZ with fatalities and many injured.
It happenned about mid morning NZ tim e
