100 pilot whales stranded in Loch Carnan

A DESPERATE bid to save 100 pilot whales trapped in a loch was under way last night.

Experts believe the pod could be wiped out by a massive beaching in Loch Carnan, South Uist.

Many of the animals are already sporting bloody cuts to their heads - probably caused by dashing themselves against the rocks. It is suspected a number of the 20ft long whales are sick or dying and trying to beach themselves.

This is very sad news for the whales. They are unlikely to be saved.
What do you think guys? Didn't Arthur C Clarke write a book about this exact same thing?
Many of the whales are already hurt and damaged. How on earth do they go so far off course!

Something has interfered with their internal navigation system. It sounds like they may be poisoned.

Usually when Animals congregate like this, it means something disastrous is going to happen in he not too distant future.... usually... or it could just be that they are lost!!

This is also a sign for the rapture, because this fish is not ordinary to other fish. They are mammals, so they used to live on land... similar that Christians have to live somewhere else..

Does this mean it's the turn of Scotland for a huge disaster of some sort?

Nuclear, Oil? ???

I doubt things will turn out good for these whales as senarios like this rarely do but let's hope there aren't more cases that spring up.

It is not uncommon, it happened here last year too in the very same loch in fact. Its not far from were I live I might pop down and have a look..

Very sad.

yesterday the whales are beached in san fransico now this loch in another part of the world, wow animals are really dying off in recent times

Whales beach themselves every single year. One reason it happens is that they follow their food which often times comes in close to shore at high tide. IF the whales haven't gone back out to sea when the tides recede than the whales are caught in water too shallow for them to successfully navigate back out to deeper water.

People are noticing it more in lieu of all the animal die offs the past year or so. Regardless, it is heartbreaking to me. We understand soo little about these magnificent creatures. We as humans may be able to learn something from them someday.

I Know, it is similarity with the dead sea... if u know what salt means in the Scripture and the level from the dead sea is every year a meter less than the year before, than u know what it mean!! There are so many signs.. but u have 2 recognized them
