If (and that's a big *IF*) the Supreme Court does its job correctly, any law like this would quickly get rejected for its clear violation of the US Constitution.

Ahhh...who am I trying to kid? We are screwn.

"What have the voters of Obama done?"

If McCain were elected, this same thing would be happening, so a quote like the above, makes you look like the idiots that act like each election is a Super Bowl - whether you'd be bashing the GOP if they were in office or not.

What are the reactions to this bill? Is anyone upset about it? Has there been any news on how it's being received?

Again, pure speculation. Why do people say this?
Don't blame Obama, McCain would've done it too!
It defuses any responsibility that rests on his shoulders. What a great defense! "Yer honor, I killed a man, but someone else would have killed him anyway, so I'm innocent!"

well this too will die a slow death for it is in www.govtrack.us... and any thing that goes hear, dies they will not pass it for they will not agree upon it as a hole and the hole bill must pass.

I can't believe this is happening right in front of us.
This is how Hitler ended up with all of his power.

Interestingly this is also how Palpatine did it.
Unfortunately this is not a movie and very much something that should be stopped

Yes, make it a partisan issue. Blame the people that voted him into office - when they were just picking the lesser of two evils. Using your logic, since Bush and Obama are terrible, EVERYONE is to blame, both sides.

Partisan bs is ruining the US. I blame the system. If you have 2 different choices, but 1 outcome, does it really matter which is chosen? Do you blame the people that chose it? Or do you blame the people that conspired to make it 1 outcome?

I agree with your end argument, I just don't agree with how you got there. I blame Obama, just like I blamed Bush. I don't blame the people that voted them in, because the campaigns are all based on lies, and no one does what they say they're going to in the first place.

The Left / Right spectrum is how they get away with anything they want to, because people are too busy blaming the other party.

First of all: THE DEMOCRATS ARE NOT THE LEFT, for pete's sake, everytime i heard americans talk about the "lefties" democrats I die a little. You should come to Argentina to learn what is the Left.

BOTH parties represent the SAME socio-economical system, only with difference in subtleties and ways
The Left-Rigth paradigm is only useful when you are debating MODELS (ie Capitalism-Socialism); in the sense used in the US it loses its meaning... I think.
My advise from the south:
START UNITING YOURSELVES, create power by the sum of individualities, DEBATE, use your CRITICAL thought and STOP WATCHING TV!!!
Your southern Brothers will be ready to give you a hand when the time comes.

Peace & Freedom.

Seems this was a "Special Report" from Sorcha Faal, that was picked up by all the other internet nutjobs.

No credibility whatsoever....

That may be so.

But, in my personal opinion, they stopped being "communists" long time ago...
And, while we are funnily at it, you should meet some of the hard-left members of resistance movements during our years of military dictatorship (Thanks, CIA, btw!)
Of course, that depends on one's interpretation of the theory. (and there are many, many, MANY interpretations, as many as communists are in the world, it comes with the job, you could say)

Anyway, I wouldn't try to "impart" communism in (the united states of north) America. Kind of political suicide, that would be
Not yet, at least.
But what I WOULD say is that your society would benefit from a (massively) deeper involvment in the decision-making of your country.
I know it is damn hard, you people are in the front-line of the imperialist propaganda machine, and so, you have suffered from decades of "indoctrination" about the values and attitudes you MUST fight for.
One, blatant, example of this is the scary tendence to analyse reality from a military POV. Always thinking with an Us VS Them mentality. You have been molded into a fearsome warrior culture, and while that has allowed the Elite of your country to rise in power in relation to other "Powers" of the world. It has had a tremendous impact on how you see the world and the people living in it.

I say this with the outmost respect for the People of North-America, and knowing that, in the end, you are also victims of the imperialism. (just not the carpet-bombing, city-nuking part
)
I hope some day we'll be fighting side-by-side against these motherfunkers that are holding our Civilization back.
'til victory, always.

Peace and Peas.

On another note: If you REALLY want to piss them off, you should look into the WORKER COOPERATIVE model, in which the people that DO THE WORK (ie: those that MAKE the wealth) are the collective, direct OWNERS of the source of production, and profit is distributed EQUITATIVELY between all asociates of the cooperative.
I'm working in that area currently (yeah, profile the hell out of my butt) and i tell you, there's a LOT of potential in that area in the sense that it provides both a workplace and an instrument of power for the workers.
Besides getting rid of the f*cker that gets rich with your work....

Why would congress give up any power?
Why can't I find this on CNN.com?
Why can't I find this in foxnews.com?
I thought the supreme court decided which branch of government gets what powers?
--------------------------------
Just read it on ACLU.
This would cause the U.S. to invade every middle east country because there are probably terrorists everywhere. Those nations will not like this one bit, and we will be the cause of those countries uniting against us. This is a very very BAD idea.

This is the most frightening thing I have read in a long time and I don't easily get afraid. The Assassination of American Citizens, is so broad it could be anyone, for any reason, anywhere. It's not like it hasn't happened anyway. It is just that now murder for them is legal.

Here is that articile, it was a link in the OPs articile, Thanks for posting this thread.

You're comparing apples and oranges there. Unless the person being killed was a convicted criminal of dastardly crimes and everybody wanted a piece of him, there is no reason for multiple people to want to kill a random innocent person. There is, however, a reason for presidents from different terms to have the same AGENDA. I don't think that people are necessarily DEFENDING Obama when they say "don't blame obama", they are just being neutral and open to both sides. Face it.. people are voted inas presidents NOT because of our say-so, no matter how badly you wish to believe that. If this weree true, how come people like Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura aren't presidents?
