Well isn't that just too bad. The elites of France are angry over one of their own being shown in such a embarrassing manner. Heaven forbid someone as rich, powerful, and influential as this rapist be treated like a commoner. Ahhh, I drink the outrage of France's elite and it is sweet

The CIA have a proven treck record of taking out powerful socialists. There may be more to this than meets the eye...

In this country if they have enough evidence to charge you. You do the prep walk. They don't charge you here unless they are pretty darn sure that they have enough to convict you. And this loser isn't any better than the next man. But I'm sure this is also some sort of conspiracy right? lol Let me guess the maid is actually an alien CIA agent. Of course why didn't i think of that. I should have known everything that happens is a big conspiracy.

PS why does a Canadian promote slavery? EH?.

Perhaps the French will also now tell the yanks to go shove their special relationship.

Hey dont blame us. I actually said in the original thread when Obama announced that France was our new BFF that the Brits should be relieved they could pull up their pants and stand upright now.

And Strauss-Kahn is quite the powerful socialist with a holiday home in Marrakeshand tens of millions in assets ... it seems that socialism is quite lucrative for those in charge.

I don't know all your personal opinions. I follow the law, he is not A RAPIST (yet)
And yes powerful people associate within strange circles, so it might take a conspiracy turn

What a lot of moronic comments mixed in here (amongst some intelligent ones).

Anyway,
Of course everyone over here is talking only of this. I run a commerce and all my clients want to discuss only this. Since yesterday evening, I have not met ONE so far that didn't think he did it. He has a reputation, he's been caught using sex as a power tool..... the flight attendents for Air France complained that he was grabbing them ("and not just the butt.."). He still could have been set up, his reputation giving a weakness to exploit.

But even with all the people who think he's guilty and should be charged so, the topic of the photos is still talked about with shock and repulsion, not in relation to him but as a law (or lack of one), as a general practice of assuming guilt before proven so.

God help any of the men on here being judge and jury on another man without any evidence. Say you find yourself after an innocent one night stand, next day being charged of rape, with your face all over TV in handcuffs. Then lets say your found innocent in a jury and that the female was making it all up. It's too late, your reputation has been destroyed and people will always wonder if your a rapist even though you are totally innocent.

The French definitely have a point and if you cant see it your being blinded by Patriotism and in some cases xenophobia

No I have no opinion yet about him. The case has to take form in order to see the truth come forward, and that takes time.

Personally I dont want the IMF to exist (HQ in Washington DC), but that fact can not colour my opinion

You mean the Brits that just pitifully asked to borrow one of our military planes because your government can't even properly defend it's self from a 3rd world country? Talk about a one way friendship. And the Brits are the ones with their pants down. Will the Brits be repaying us the 550 million dollars worth of tomahawk missiles we deployed so they can operate their no fly zone and get their oil contracts. The United States doesn't have friends it has welfare children countries that ask for help while criticizing anything we do. I'm surprised we let you use the plane.

Well technically, our legal system is NOT assuming he is guilty before he is proven to be.

But in practice, parading people in front of the cameras, and allowing the media to make a case to public opinion before the person gets their day in court is a common things.

We did it to Saddam. We do it to everyone from petty criminals all the way up to bigger ones, like Bernie Madoff. I really dont think the French have any grounds to claim he is being treated any differently than we treat virtually anyone "newsworthy" accused of a crime in the US.

You are a angry man today. Is everything okey with you?

We are human beings members of the same tribe, we origin from the same source.

You can not take pride in anything our country has done, if you personally had no part in it. Don't be so nationalistic, it divides us
Its like this..

I would have to be English for that remark to be accurate. For they have always been the other colonialists. Even better at it than the French. My house is made of bricks and mortar.
