I highly doubt Anonymous is capable of staging a mass uprising that will bring about any positive change.
I think whatever is going to happen on that day is going to happen on the net, a mass cyber attack or something.

The general population isn't "angry" enough for an uprising to occur.

They have a facebook page.

How noble.

Consider how a large part of Anonymous takes political stances against oppresive governments, restriction of freedom of information, etc.

Consider the people who post on ATS: awake people who do not trust the government, take an stance against authoritarianism and the limiting of freedoms, condone ignorance, and seem eager to take some sort of action.

Chances are, there are members of Anonymous posting around here.

For people interested make sure and right click and view source. There is alot more written in the source code as well as you tube links.

584 days notice is really pushing it.

I think for the sake of my sanity I need to start weaning myself off of the internet in preparation for 2012. I hate to say this but this site in particular is one I will try to avoid...but I am so hooked! It won't be easy.

Could be a variation on Project Mayhem from Fight Club:

How do we even know it is really them and not the CIA or some other group working for the bad guys trying to fake an uprising like they did in Libya?

Thats the big problem I have with Anonymous. I like them. I cheer them. But because they are Anonymous, anyone else can pretend to be them, and how would we ever know?
