Transformers blowing up left and right - we talked about this possibility last year

A few months ago i saw a transformer blow up. I'm 18 floors up, and i saw multi colored lights emanating from the mountains just past the city. I have no idea what it was until i was the Texas video yesterday.

I don't suppose it will make a bit of difference to point out that transformers rarely explode these days.

What happens is the line gets shorted at some point and a fuse connected directly to the transformer to protect it from being over-energizing blows. You can easily check this out.

The fuse is usually located in an accessible area near or on top of the transformer. In central Texas electric co-ops, the fuse is located above the individual neighborhood transformer. The fuse is held by clips in its holder that is usually angled toward the ground for easy access. These fuses are quickly replaceable from the ground by a workman with an long pole. The fuse is about a foot long in a glass tube much like the old car fuses.

To replace a transformer takes quite a bit of work. Replacing one of these fuses takes about five minutes. About anything can blow a fuse similarly as in a house circuit or in an auto. Usually it is a mechanical short such as a downed/crossed wire, a power surge of an lightening strike or an animal shorting out the system.

If a short happens near a distribution station, many fuses downline may blow. Depending upon how the system is rigged, an electrical system may act like a weak garden water hose that starts bursting out as various points. Except as a fuse blows, that power then goes to another point and may blow a fuse or fuses there and on down the line. That is what is seen in the video. Fires can result depending upon the local material.

Absolutely no UFOs need be involved every time that happens. Has it happened to some extent when a UFO seems to be tapping the high line? Yes, but it is not a given excuse for each and every instance of a blown fuse. Several dead squirrels in my neighborhood would, if they could, testify that they were guilty of chewing on the wrong thing and turning my lights off over the years.

You can probably expect to hear alot more about power problems in the coming future. Summer is on it's way the demand factor will be greater, and America's electrical infrastructure is damn near in shambles. Our power grids are so out dated it's not even funny.

I think the SUN is going to be our biggest problem for the next 18 months.....

I wouldn't say there wasn't any unusual activity. After all, a comet did slam into the sun preceding a CME, though they say that barely missed us.

Still, it's unusual. Especially since it's about to happen again in such a short time.

What exactly is unusual?? During normal maximums we have high activity and flares pretty much daily.
The fact is that this cycle is lower activity than "normal".
It is not the first time a comet or asteroid has been sucked up by the sun either.

Its the economy.I work in the field and heres what it is...power plants are cutting back production so to speak so much industry has left and the demand is way way low so our wonderful gov makes them shut down one ,two,or even three turbines thus cutting output.they put out the same voltage but not as much current so the transformers are working harder overall.It will get worse.If a sun flare were to cause an emp or something along thos lines you would see major failure.like the one a few years ago in the north east.that was caused by carbon from a brush fire in new york.

Then, I went to another conspiracy website this morning, and someone had posted about 20 transformers that had blown up recently.

And that got me thinking:

Last year, we were all talking about those forecasts by scientists who said that the sun's activity in 2011-2012 could likely be just as strong or stronger than the sun-storms back from the 1800's, which were strong enough to melt all the telegraph wires. Some scientists were warning that the sun's activity could possibly have the potential to wipe out the earth's entire electrical grid, and send us back into the technology equivalent of the 1800's.

Anyway, all the skeptics on here are always saying that none of the "doom predictions" on ATS ever come true, but this one seems to possibly be coming true!

This is all part of the WAVE, i am researching on. We are entering into the first wave of waves. It will only get worse. I suppose they will blame this on fukeshima or maybe another reactor, but these waves are the problem. The waves that are hitting us will only get worse. The power companies will not be able to keep up with the repairing of the grids and soon it will get worse. I don't know if people will riot, i guess that depends how bad it gets. The problem will only get swept under the rug as usual. This whole thing is part of a LARGER issue. I am currently investigating into this and it all will come together. At least there are people out there who pay attention to what is going on around them. I hope people pay attention to power grids going off line more and especially where and track them. Tell me, where have power grids went off line? What states, where?

This is highly unusal for this time of year. Usually happens in summer, not spring.

Just a thought but maybe the sun is sending more rays then we know.
