sure why not.

why doesnt the press ask the us government about allegations that another male was taken with obl on may 1st?

is he being tortured now to get intel out of him?

does he have a right to due process?

or will he die from interrogations and we get told that he was dead when they took him from abbottabad and was released into the sea with obl?

It's cases like this one which hurt the conspiracy theorist. Conspiracy theorist always "win," not because they are right, it's because their "proof" can stretch as far as the imagination goes. Then when challenged, they accuse the challenger of being sheeple (the less experienced conspiracy theorist). Most of the time, whatever the conspiracy theorist comes up with is no more provable than the "official story."

Oh yea, and one last thing, how come everyone who isn't a follower, everyone who doesn't believe in nonsense, everyone who doesn't believe in an official story, everyone who doesn't blindly follow a politician, is a conspiracy theorist?

Yup. Its happening right now. If you don't buy the official story or ask for some decent evidence or point out flaws in the official explanation, you are a conspiracy theorist. I just love what its all come to.

What's harder to believe? The "Official Story" or the idea that MAYBE the government is lying.

The official story is, after 10 years of looking for this guy, they magically find him in what they first call a "mansion" in Pakistan? (The house was only 200k at best, confirmed by realtors in Pakistan).

1) They launch 4 helo's in the area. One gets shot down. I've not heard an official reason why.
2) They take out Osama after he is found using his wife as a human shield and shooting at SEALs.
3) Story changes that Osama was unarmed and wife was shot in the leg.
4) His alleged daughter confirms his death, but states he was shot AFTER taken into custody.
5) Government claims that after 24 hours they confirm the DNA test. Forensic scientists claim this is impossible, and even IF they got results in that little time, that it would be shoddy evidence at best.
6) Government claims it is "sensitive" to Muslim wishes and buries the most wanted man at sea.
7) Government says they will NOT release any photographic or video evidence because it is too "gruesome". After the death of Saddam Husein's sons, their images are plastered everywhere. But the most wanted man, no.
8) Pakistan admits that Osama was killed. Never mind the fact that the US just supposedly carried out an assassination on their soil. Perhaps they were persuaded to go along with the story?
9) Some forum poster states they are Al Quada (sp?) and confirms Osama's death. In other news the Boogie Man posted on a blog stating Santa and the Easter Bunny are dating.

So, here we have a man, supposedly the mastermind behind 9/11 and many other bombings. A man we've been "hunting" for 10 years. A man who our military could not find in the hills of Tora Bora or anywhere else in Afghanistan. Yet they get a tip, manage to get boots on the ground, assassinate Osama, ID his body, and dump it in the Ocean. And we're just supposed to believe it because our government says so????

I'm supposed to believe a government who lied about WMD's. Was caught lying fabricating evidence of WMD's. Who took away so many personal liberties of American's on the grounds that they "make us safer". Who spewed such BS lines as "They hate us for our freedoms". Who lied about the death of Pat Tillman. Who lied about the entire Jessica Lynch story. I'm supposed to just take what they say at face value?

If I'm some "crazy conspiracy theorist" because I choose to question my government, then so be it. I accept that label. Because I'm sorry, but after the decades of lies and deceit handed down to the people by our government, they damn sure deserve to be questioned.

*edit to note*

I've also seen the biggest media reporting on so called "Conspiracy Theorists" since the 1st. Never before have I seen such discrediting of people before in my life. Everyone from MSN to even John Stewart on the Daily Show is lambasting CT's. I find it disgusting. Its almost if you are not even human if you question the government. Just look at some of these posts I found on CNN just now.

CNN Blasting CT's

We are now labeled as "Deathers". How about label us as "people who don't turn a blind eye to BS"

To all you people criticizing skeptics of the official OBL story...

let me bring to your attention this little snippet from the sky news link in the OP

news.sky.com...

CIA agents had been watching bin Laden from a safehouse in Abbottabad..."

So then, do we at least get to see pics/footage from when they were "watching" OBL, please???? At least one, where Osama still has his head in one piece?????? Im pretty sure they would have at least one for documentation purposes.

Or is there a reason as to why the government that you trust so much will not release anything to support the claim that they had their eyes on Osama???

Its amazing how everyone seems to agree, that we can't believe a word our government says about anything...and rightfully so. It seems that the majority of the world has finally realized that all our governments are nothing but bull-$hit artists, with no regard for the people, and we have all had enough. About time!

They say the anti-Christ will be someone who wins the hearts of the world, but turns out to be evil itself. Maybe this "person" is actually all our governing bodies...and not an individual.

Seems there is some controversy on this thread, because nobody had the link to the AQ statement about bin laden being dead, just the news link.

I apologize for being late to the party.
I've got links to sites where they placed their statements.

I know more than just a little bit about them, and I've been known to post about them here on ATS, including which ones the CIA were running at one time.

Anyway, if your not too paranoid about being tracked for going to the sites, here is an English Translation to one of their sites where its posted. Yes, they've had pdf's for a long time. You've already read the English Translation in the news.

Or you can google the appropriate phrase to find it on your own.

[Al Qaeda - General Command]
[ تنظيم قاعدة الجهاد- القيادة العامة ]

There is also the Taliban Statement on his death
Statement of the Leadership Council of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Regarding the Martyrdom of the Great Martyr Sheik Osama bin Laden.

Here is the same site in Arabic translated

Here is the same site in Arabic.

Here is another well known "Caucuses" based English website.
Its just a reiteration of the above statement, but it is one of their well known sites.

There is more.
Lots More.
There is not much debate on their sites if he is dead or not.

So, there's your links to get you started.

Im familiar with "Tim Osman".

In fact, Ive suspected that Osama was a CIA asset and was probably fluent in English. He served in Afghanistan, as Americas "muslim man", to oversee weapon supplies to the Mujahideen who fought the Russians.

The idea that he actually fought with the mujahideen could well be a fabrication AFTER 9/11... you know, just to add "personality" to the OBL mythology. The OBL videos we all saw shortly after 9/11 has this very "acted out" feel to it.

There has been a few reports that they were not Bin Laden but indeed a look alike.

He was a very sick man, I will put a couple of main stream media stories below for you to check out.

This one was in the Sydney Morning Herald

Bin Laden treated for kidney problem in Dubai, claims report

Osama bin Laden underwent treatment in July at the American Hospital in Dubai where he met a US Central Intelligence Agency official, French daily Le Figaro and Radio France International reported today. Quoting "a witness, a professional partner of the administrative management of the hospital," they said the man suspected by the United States of being behind the September 11 terrorist attacks had arrived in Dubai on July 4 by air from Quetta, Pakistan.

He was immediately taken to the hospital for kidney treatment. He left the establishment on July 14, Le Figaro said. During his stay, the daily said, the local CIA representative was seen going into bin Laden's room and "a few days later, the CIA man boasted to some friends of having visited the Saudi-born millionaire." Quoting "an authoritative source," Le Figaro and the radio station said the CIA representative had been recalled to Washington on July 15.

Bin Laden has been sought by the United States for terrorism since the bombing of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. But his CIA links go back before that to the fight against Soviet forces in Afghanistan. Le Figaro said bin Laden was accompanied in Dubai by his personal physician and close collaborator, who could be the Egyptian Ayman al-Zawahari, as well as bodyguards and an Algerian nurse.

He was admitted to the urology department of Dr Terry Callaway, who specialises in kidney stones and male infertility. Telephoned several times, the doctor declined to answer questions. Several sources had reported that bin Laden had a serious kidney infection. He had a mobile dialysis machine sent to his Kandahar hideout in Afghanistan in the first half of 2000, according to "authoritative sources" quoted by Le Figaro and RFI.

This one is a Fox News article

Report: Bin Laden Already Dead

Wednesday, December 26, 2001 Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing a Taliban leader who allegedly attended the funeral of the Al Qaeda leader.

"The Coalition troops are engaged in a mad search operation but they would never be able to fulfill their cherished goal of getting Usama alive or dead," the source said. Bin Laden, according to the source, was suffering from a serious lung complication and succumbed to the disease in mid-December, in the vicinity of the Tora Bora mountains.
The source claimed that bin Laden was laid to rest honorably in his last abode and his grave was made as per his Wahabi belief. About 30 close associates of bin Laden in Al Qaeda, including his most trusted and personal bodyguards, his family members and some "Taliban friends," attended the funeral rites.

A volley of bullets was also fired to pay final tribute to the "great leader." The Taliban source who claims to have seen bin Laden's face before burial said "he looked pale ... but calm, relaxed and confident."

Asked whether bin Laden had any feelings of remorse before death, the source vehemently said "no." Instead, he said, bin Laden was proud that he succeeded in his mission of igniting awareness amongst Muslims about hegemonistic designs and conspiracies of "pagans" against Islam.

Bin Laden, he said, held the view that the sacrifice of a few hundred people in Afghanistan was nothing, as those who laid their lives in creating an atmosphere of resistance will be adequately rewarded by Almighty Allah. When asked where bin Laden was buried, the source said, "I am sure that like other places in Tora Bora, that particular place too must have vanished."

The first article has been debunked several times, including in an interview with one of his wives a few years ago, who confirmed he had Kidney Stones, never dialysis.

The second is difficult to believe since an unnamed source said it, and because I've already posted a link to the Taliban's official site, which states he was just killed.

man seriously, you have your head up your ass, get a clue about how the world works and what the CIa is actually capable of.

2 things that bother me about this event.

1. News reports say Pakistani officials and other sources confrim his death, 1 question... HOW???

Without a body or one shred of evidence to back that claim, since USA dumped the body before anyone got a chance to identify.
Confirmation is seeing a dead body. Full stop

2. The amount of hype surrounding " conspiracy theorists" regarding this event.

Plenty of other conspiracies in the world that could be link i.e Haarp and Earthquakes

yet media didn't bother focusing on the " conspiracies " of an earthquake?

3 days after Osamas supposed death, before i had even heard anyone in the mainstream media debunking the Obama death claims, we have the president or some high official stating not to believe contrived story's and conspiracy theories?

Seems odd that you would even have to mention that in a media conference unless there was actually something too hide

But, but but... remember everyone's beloved and always honest messiah Alex Jones said it was a cover up and that he had proof? Looks like Alex Jones just got caught fear-mongering to get new listeners and believers he can peddle off conspiracy books and ad impression revenue.

You don't get any more certain than the organisation that Bin Laden was a part of confirming that he's dead. Let it go people, find someone else to claim that isn't dead that others haven't already like; James Dean, Elvis Presley or Michael Jackson.

It would be hard to take it with malice, since you don't know me and this is just an internet forum.
But mainly because you provide no proof of your "knowledge". Un-named sources don't cut it and "common knowledge" has been proven wrong time and again.

No matter who claims Usama Bin-Laden is dead, there are at least a few million people on the planet who won't believe it. Even if the "photos" are shown, or his head is mounted in the Smithsonian, there will be those who won't believe it is really him. I'm glad the White House didn't give in to the media, or the cynical minded minority who are demanding more evidence/proof of Bin-Laden's demise. Nothing they produce will please everyone, but most importantly, the people with the most influence on this planet believe that he's dead. That is the bottom line and what really matters.
