The Taliban announced they will begin their spring offensive Sunday, pledging to attack military bases, convoys and Afghan officials, including members of the peace council working to reconcile with top insurgent leaders. Saturday's declaration came a day after a new Pentagon report claimed the militants were experiencing low morale after suffering heavy losses on the battlefield.

Really? Low moral? I doubt the taliban really care about moral.

"The war in our country will not come to an end unless and until the foreign invading forces pull out of Afghanistan," the Taliban said in a two-page statement released by the leadership council of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, which is what the movement calls itself.

Its that time of year again.

400 something taliban escaped from a prison a week ago. An Afghan officer turned around and killed 8 coalition troops a few days ago.

This April has been the most deadliest April in the entire war, 51 NATO soldiers killed so far.

How many Afghan's did those coalition troops kill?

Pot meet the kettle?

My god they shot back!, How dare they! That's not right! That's not in the script! How can we work in these conditions! That's just not professional! (Trueman Show).

Why don't we leave this country to sort out it's own problems, ban all aircraft/boats from entering the country, pull out NATO troops, end of story.

I agree with that. If generals aren't going to let us fight a war to win, then why fight period?

I believe it'd be heroin/opium in this context.

If we really had leaders interested in saving and protecting Western Civilization we would have killed all of the Middle East by now and colonized it, seriously. This conflict will keep going on until one sides wins completely and the other side loses. It has ben like that since Islam's inception, why won't you idiots get that?
