LOL, from the article you site, which gives ZERO indication that gas prices dropped from 4 to 1, says:

The US Energy Department's forecasting arm has said opening the Pacific, Atlantic and eastern Gulf of Mexico regions to drilling "would not have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030".

www.newscientist.com...

Also, remember how that offshore drilling went? We destroyed our entire gulf coast for decades.

You people all want to pretend we can wave a magic wand and make gas prices go back to levels we havent seen in decades. That's fantasy. A fantasy of a dying empire. You cant blame environmentalists or taxes. The real problem is oil is finite, and speculators know this.

But nice misleading headline on your link.

I wonder if you notice how your empty rhetoric does little to nothing to address any of the real world mechanisms that are connected to the rising price of gas at the pump.

It's okay, I know it's easier to criticize and simplify than it is to elucidate and understand.

It's only the partisans who want to lay the blame all at the feet of one President or another, without examining the entire system and our contribution to it.

I just wonder if you grasp that you are perpetuating a meme that promotes the idea that a POTUS should dictate market prices?

You neolibs sure are lazy.

Have you ever done a Google search?

Stop drinking the Obama cool-aid and do some research.
The price of gas was $4 a gallon in July 2008. President George W. Bush said Drill-
Baby-Drill. 4 months later gas was $1.61 a gallon December 2008.

Your latest post adds nothing to the information you presented in your previous one. It only adds some personal attacks which tend to reek of desperation.

You have been unable so far to prove a correlation where you claim one exists. Prove your correlation instead of expecting me to do it for you.

Here is a cute little chart available at Gas Buddy.

The GOP House Republicans must also know the TRUTH.
Silver Bullet = Drill - Baby - Drill

All you are proving is gas prices at certain times. You are not proving a correlation between drilling and oil prices 4 months later. Please provide he evidence showing it was drilling that caused that. Hell, you might as well say Obama's election caused the drop, there''s as much evidence for that as your claim.

Merely re-posting the exact same data over and over doesnt make your point valid.

And your constant personal attacks only indicate your lack of data.

I disagree, no empty rhetoric here, just a reminder that there is no such thing as Obama's Utopia.
Consider it a form of marketing because my statement can act as sort of a bad review for a product I never wanted to buy and as a warning to others not to get duped, again.

I just wonder if you grasp that you are perpetuating a meme that promotes the idea that a POTUS should dictate market prices?

Yes, you are correct, but you must remember that he ran on a mantra of HOPE and CHANGE. Sadly, people actually believed everything would be free, free, free.
Some of his followers actually began preparing for the day that Obama would pay their rent and car payment.

Obama led everyone to believe that he is/was Superman, and at one point actually posed as the fictitious super hero.

My point, he led everyone to believe he would be able to do everything under the Sun, including "dictate market prices".

So much for - ZERO- proof that gas fell from $4 a gallon to $1.61 in 4 months.

We live in society of chronic amnesiacs. You appear to be one of them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you saying it was an amazing coincidence that President George W. Bush said
Drill - Baby - Drill in July 2008 and then for no reason the price of gas goes into a free fall
to $1.61 in only 4 months - December 2008?
Take your blinders off.

Thank God the GOP House sees the truth.

Obama is a socialist just looking for the next Photo Op.
He is clearly a 1 term president. Maybe he should resign today and let President
Joe Biden take over until November 2012.

When Bush was president, it was Bush's fault 24/7. Bush in collusion with the oil companies, Bush wanting to raise prices, Bush making a killing for his oil buddies.

Obama? Not his fault. Evil oil companies fault. Everyone elses fault 'cept poor ol' Obama.

Sign on Obamas' desk.
