Why are you all so worried??
We have been irradiated for a very long time anyways.

In the U.S. from 1951 to 1962, the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) conducted about 100 open-air atomic tests at the Nevada Test Site - bombs were
detonated atop towers, dropped from planes, set off on balloons, exploded in tunnels and in one case shot out of a 280-millimeter canon. The
radiation from the atom bomb tests - many of them bigger than the 'Hiroshima' bomb explosion - traveled on winds and the jet stream and incorporated
biological matter widely across the Northern Hemisphere, and in particular in the American Southwest. The Atomic Energy Commission established a
small network of 'gummed film' monitoring stations across the United States in the 1950s - each station was equipped with a small platform that held
gummed paper which, much like fly paper, would 'capture' the debris in the air during fallout episodes following bomb tests. The sticky paper would
be subjected to various radiation analyses, including 'radiation counts.' (Years later, the AEC scrapped the methodology because of its
inefficiency.)
The gummed film data from across the continental United States would record a frightening tale - regularly, during the 1950s and 1960s, the air in
America was filled with radiation that was hundreds, thousands and sometimes millions of counts higher than normal levels. In cities across the land,
radiation in the air broke new records each year and it wasn't surprising to have counts over 10,000,000, or a thousand times the levels that provoked
Kodak's radiation scare in January 1951.
