Why do feminists hate Sarah Palin?

Feminists are nothing more than crazy nut jobs that are a burden on society. Of course they aren't going to back anyone Woman in a high profile position, when that woman happens to be on the wrong side of the line.

Not to mention, have you seen most Feminists...not to much to look at so it would be easy to conclude that jealousy is also a factor.

I wasn't meaning to offend you but I could feel the passion behind your post. I would agree with most of what you said though. I am a man but I was raised all my life by my mother without a father figure.

They're politicians; politicians need to create conflict and borders in order to "stay in business." In its infancy it was about equality, and there were many of them. Now that a woman can do anything I man can, what's the point of them in this part of the world? A woman can lead a nation, a company, and a household, so is it still necessary to fight? I'm not condemning all women if that's what you're implying, and I know it's a small percentage that think they are still being oppressed or that there are still things to fight over. I don't see any reason for these people and their "title" (or label: "Feminist") or their opinions (as if they represent all women, when women can stand up and speak out for themselves without needing the label of FEMINIST to be heard), and I stand by what I said.

Which feminists are you referring to? There are many types.

Just to name a few:

Liberal
Radical
Socialist
Conservative
Libertarian/Individualist

I believe it is safe to say that no all feminists hate, or even dislike, Palin. For those that do hate Palin, I'm certain that their reasons are as varied as peoples hate for anything/anyone else. There is no set answer.

It's always amazed me that the nags never piped up, when, during the vp debate, the cameras zoomed in on her back-side then cut to her front-side several times. They never (that I recall) zoomed in on Biden's back-side. sexist pigs!

You`d think that feminists applaud Sarah Palin since she has achieved what feminists claim they want to achieve - more self-confident and assertive women in important positions. But since the majority of feminists insult and smear Palin we must conclude that the current agenda of Feminism has nothing to do with womens rights.. You're painting with a dangerously broad brush. Feminists don't consider Palin, Thatcher, Rand, nor Rice role models because they don't have beliefs and practices that are consistent with feminism. Palin's idea of society and of a family is seen as backwards by them, perpetuating gender roles and such.
Feminists shouldn't arbitrarily support a woman just because she's in an influential position, in fact, that would be sexist. Why would they want to support someone whose policies they can't stand behind just because she has a vagina?
Also, it's not fair to say that all, or even most feminists, are sexist.

This is innacurate because the great majority of femonists are radical, socialist, liberal. This is actually subtly proven by the fact that they dont consider any conservative women as role models.

You're missing the point entirely.
Feminists don't support people like Palin not because she's an "empowered" woman, but because her beliefs don't line up with what feminists believe. You shouldn't expect feminists to arbitrarily get behind a politician just because they're an "empowered" woman, regardless of their political views.

When I think "conservative woman," I think of Palin, Bachmann, Malkin, Coulter. And they are batcrap crazy, every single one of them. No wonder feminists don't hold them in high regard.

Neo, I totally agree with you. She's not promoting the leftist agenda so the liberals have to scratch and claw at her. Betty Friedan, who wrote "The Feminine Mystique" , turned out to actually be a communist, working for a communist organization. The whole thing was a sham, and women have been used by the Communist Party to promote the Communist agenda. Frankly, I thought the Feminine Mystique was a pretty boring book, focusing on raging against women having to wear makeup as an object and so on.
