It is said that their has been at least 800 quakes in japan since the 9.1. Their has all so been at least 800 quakes in California. They are small 1.0-3.6's but their are hundreds of them. Is this normal? I found it fishy cause USGS was not reporting on them. They showed SOME but all of them.

Where are you getting the information about these 800 quakes?

Would be interesting to know where you are getting this info. I live near L.A. And have not felt a thing!
Of course if they are that small I probably wont, but the 3.6 should be quite noticeable!

If you have a smart phone like iPhone or the like. You can download an app called Quake Watch. It has up to the second updates of all earth quakes, tsunami alerts etc. From NOAA, USGS as well as others.

I don't doubt that there have been many quakes in California.

Just curious where the figure of 800 came from, is all.

I have been watching this site ever since the 9.1
quakes.globalincidentmap.com...

Their has been just as many if not more earth quakes as japan in cali. If you do not believe me take a look. Watch it for a couple days. I wonder if this site keeps records for weeks. I have not been able to access them. You can look at it right now and tell the Cali is having a aton of earth quakes and USGS is not reporting them but they report SOME. Not even %95 of them.

Seems odd that they aren't reporting them (I haven't actually checked to see if they truly are not being reported), especially since at the top of the site you linked it says "Earthquake Data Imported from USGS Feed". It would seem obvious to me that they are being reported since this website is getting it's info from them!!!

I guess they are being detected and cataloged, but not thrown onto their website?
Is that what you are getting at?

Is there any other organization that has the means to detect and report earthquakes?

Their appearing not being reported because of the way that www.usgs.gov is divided into sub-groups, its more of a conglomerate of all different systems. It's like The Weather Channel whereas they have a large portion of scientific data but it does not necessarily post it all on one page. No conspiracies with that one. Research the Yellowstone data that is being hidden to see what it looks like when an organization like USGS is hiding or reverting data.
