Man, those pics are insane. I hope they get some sort of relief soon, they need it. In times like these I feel extremely lucky to live in a place thats not so "active".

It almost seems that the only thing they can do is totally doze the whole city and just rebuild from literally the ground up. Don't even bother trying to clean it up, just bury it.

Here is a video that shows the shaking the tsunami caused as it neared the Sendai airport, then the actual rush of the tsunami waters as they rage across the pavement and past the windows. Man! watch how fast they moved!!

That is insane, but it's an interesting perspective because a lot of the videos show just the water and the destruction, but this one shows the actual people. I am really happy that they were all safe inside the building...

A Japanese home is seen adrift in the Pacific Ocean in this photograph taken on March 13, 2011 and released on March 14. Ships and aircrafts from the US Navy's Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group are searching for survivors in the coastal waters near Sendai, Japan, in the wake of 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that officials say claimed at least 10,000 lives.

I know this is a photo thread, but I have a video clip of some survivors,on a hilltop who watch and scream as their town is washed into oblivion in a matter of minutes.Smoke still leaves chimmneys as buildings wash about like plastic toys in a pond.

I have given money to the children in need Japan disaster fund today, but when I see the devastation,I want to do more somehow. My friends live in Tokyo, since the 80s.
I will help them somehow.
Its all I can do.

The hilltop survivors start at 0:38

May something positive befall the people of Japan very soon.
