Until they release the film from 3/15 complete, they're just jerking our chains.
Meanwhile the friendly skies seem to be getting hotter.

BRUNSWICK, NC: Emergency Declared..."After the Fact"

WTF? The word "flame" and "hydrogen" should not be in the same sentence!!!

DISCOVERY OF AFTER-THE-FACT EMERGENCY CONDITION (UNUSUAL EVENT)

At 0320 hours on August 2, 2012, a flame was observed coming from a hydrogen vent pipe on the Turbine Building roof. At 0519 hours the hydrogen supply from the hydrogen storage facility was secured and the flame was extinguished

Event Number: 48151

Response from a dude who was very involved with Brunswick:

"looks like more of an industrial event...hydrogen would probably be associated with the generator cooling system."

Anyone know why NRC rpt didn't come out for today?

Yes Lets shoot reactor #3 with a gun! I'm sure I saw that in the G.E. manual....

As the first hydrogen explosion rocked the Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear plant, Tokyo Electric Power Co. (9501) officials scrambled to prevent a second blast, at one point weighing the use of firearms to shoot a hole in the reactor building to release the pressure.
enenews.com...
www.bloomberg.com...

And from March 14th 011 at #2

At 4:57 p.m., Shimizu gives instructions to those at the Fukushima plant to carry on their response while keeping in mind the worst-case scenario. Those at Fukushima say such a scenario would unfold in about two hours if nothing is done.
At 7:27 p.m., more than two hours later, discussion among those at TEPCO headquarters is centered on the possibility that all of the fuel rods have become exposed.
At that time, Akio Komori, the managing executive director, who is at the off-site center in Okuma, Fukushima Prefecture, mentions evacuation.
"Please proceed with the consideration of evacuation standards, because unless a decision is made somewhere about whether workers should remain at the central operating room something terrible will happen," he says.
While discussions are being held about evacuating workers from the plant, there is agreement that all of the fuel rods at the No. 2 reactor were exposed above water at 6:22 p.m.
Akio Takahashi, a senior official, says, "Can someone at headquarters confirm that we are evacuating everyone at Fukushima No. 1 to the visitor hall at Fukushima No. 2?"
Before Takahashi makes this comment, Shimizu can be seen talking on his mobile phone at 7:48 p.m. and leaving the video screen to the right. He is not visible in the video for a short period. Muto occasionally sits in the seat that Shimizu occupied.

On the plane ride vid. I know the rads are higher up there but If my memory isn't toast yet, the last plane ride vid came in at about 2.50 micro-sieverts per hour and it seems folks thought that was within the OK range [even though I could swear I read somewhere that 1.40 at 18,000 Ft was normal] Anyway, this one seems to be higher.

As already written in an earlier post its absolutely normal to have readings 3 to 5 uSv/h in an aircraft due to the high altitude = less shielding from solar/space radiation. This has nothing to do with our man made radiation.

Not quite, if only it was that simple right? There is manmade radiation still existing in the upper atmosphere from the over 2000 bomb tests. What they don't talk about is much of that radiation is still up there. Some estimates are that 85% of that crap is still up there, which is, in a way, a good thing its there not here. Plus you get some from Chernobyl and various other sources. TPTB would like you to believe it is all solar/space (ie: "natural"), and sure some of it is, but much of it is not (ie: cesium 137 isn't "solar"), but hey it makes passengers and aircrews feel better flying somehow if it's "natural" radiation right?

What people don't quite grasp and need to understand for their own survival is that radiation doesn't go away, it sticks around for a while. Some of it for a very long while.

The other thing to keep in mind is that we are in a very energetic phase of solar activity, and CME's and magnetic storms have very complex effects on radiation that exists in our upper atmosphere. Some extremely high readings can come from solar storms, but also spallation effects as solar protons interact with nuclear-product isotopes existing in our atmosphere and "charge" them to become much more radioactive. Potorblog has made a number of posts on this effect.

AC - I had just taken a sip of beer when I read this....snorted laughter and came out my nose...lovely...

Thank you!

Now...to go back in time....and give TEPCO and the Japanese gov't some credit. A simultaneous triple disaster hit these folks; EQ, Tsunami, N-Reactors blowing up. That's a lot to mentally grasp in such a short period of time.

Anyone able to cite another moment in history where a nation experienced such horrific calamities all at once?

And let's remember Purple, this is the LEAST damaging info they are releasing to us. Can you imagine what they're holding back??
I guess they're afraid we might view them in a negative light.

The 82 year old nun goes to court.

A government official who asked not to be identified because he was discussing a delicate subject said that some of the video cameras were not working at all and others could not be aimed properly.

Word of the camera problem has been circulating in Washington. “That site is storing one of the largest amounts of nuclear explosive material in the world,” Robert Alvarez, a former policy adviser to the Energy Department, said in an interview. “It’s not rocket science to maintain and repair video cameras,” Mr. Alvarez noted.

Yes AC - the Cascadia fault is about to go big time. Wonder what deception will occur in the US when confronted with a major EQ, tsunami and N-plants going berserk? And God forbid a direct hit from a CME. It's only a matter of time.

Dang gotta get back to those "Happy Thoughts"!!

Need to watch "Dancing With the Stars" - now that's anxiety!!!

I saw the quakes today, purple. Mostly west coast. All up and down. Definately some rumbling going on. At least with ATS you can pop over to the EQ threads and see what the smart folks over there think? Earthquakes are a secret language that would probably take a few lifetimes to understand, but we are blessed to have these "code breakers" doing their best to understand and explain it to us.

TEPCO Trying to Explain Video Conferencing System

photo.tepco.co.jp...

Anyone remember Rose Mary Woods...Nixon's secretary?

According to President Nixon's secretary, Rose Mary Woods, on September 29, 1973, she was reviewing a tape of the June 20, 1972 recordings[3] when she said she had made "a terrible mistake" during transcription. While playing the tape on a Uher 5000, she answered a phone call. Reaching for the Uher 5000 stop button, she said that she mistakenly hit the button next to it, the record button. For the duration of the phone call, about 5 minutes, she kept her foot on the device's pedal, causing a five-minute portion of the tape to be re-recorded. When she listened to the tape, the gap had grown to 18½ minutes and later insisted that she was not responsible for the remaining 13 minutes of buzz. The contents missing from the recording remain unknown to this day. It is widely believed that the tapes recorded a conversation between Nixon and Chief of Staff H. R. Haldeman. Nixon said that he never heard the conversation and did not know the topics of the missing tapes.[4] Haldeman's notes from the meeting show that among the topics of discussion was the arrests at the Watergate Hotel.[5] White House lawyers first heard the now infamous 18½ minute gap on the evening of November 14, 1973 and Judge Sirica, who had issued the subpoenas for the tapes, was not told until November 21, after the President's attorneys had decided that there was "no innocent explanation" they could offer.[5]

The best guesses we can come up with are a gamma burst or something to do with the wild fires in Oklahoma. These spikes are in the air, not rain. All we know for sure is they are not glitches.
