Live updates: Supreme Court rules in Trump’s favor in Colorado case, says he can’t be removed from ballots

dem ones are finding out trump their lies aint gonna work, will post more as better articles are posted.

new article, from one of the most bias sources lsm's there is,

The court was unanimous in reversing the unprecedented decision out of Colorado that would kick Trump off the ballot under the provision after a state trial court found he participated in "insurrection" on Jan. 6 through incitement.

“For the reasons given, responsibility for enforcing Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates rests with Congress and not the States," the Supreme Court opinion read. "The judgment of the Colorado Supreme Court therefore cannot stand. All nine Members of the Court agree with that result.”

The headline is a bit misleading. SCOTUS ruled that someone can be prohibited from being on the ballot by an act of Congress.

Like, say, a law adopted by congress, that has the term insurrection right in the statute?

Weird.

it is exactly in his favor, in that they decided without proof / conviction he did what they claim states can't enforce section three of the 14th. and it would have to be done by congress.

This is the exact ruling that I was expecting. I was just pointing out that the headline claiming someone couldn't be removed from the ballot is incorrect. The ruling laid out very clearly what would be needed to remove someone from the ballot. Something that nearly half of the bench thought was overstepping the scope of this case.

The thread title doesn't say nor suggest that.

I mean, it's not like the statement is made in a vacuum.
