PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - A link to the entire quiz is just below this article

A psychology quiz laced with sexual innuendo was given to a high school class for a grade.

The assignment titled "The Sexual Tension Quiz" was given by teacher Frank Rozanski in his advanced placement psychology class at Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens.

One parent couldn't believe what she was reading when her child brought the assignment home.

The parent, who doesn’t want to be identified, said, “You know that's something, I don't know, you wouldn't even see on a porn site, I don't know, it's that bad."

There are no curse words or nudity in the quiz but it clearly paints a naughty picture.

"To have a teacher giving that, you know, to me that’s sexual harassment to these kids," said the Dwyer High School parent.

Other parents agreed.

The 14 question quiz used words like penetrates and discharge.

Palm Beach County's school district didn't think the quiz was appropriate either.

The district spokesman said disciplinary action was taken against the teacher immediately and the school is communicating directly with parents whose children were affected.

Concerned parents say whatever discipline was doled out by the district simply isn't enough.

They say the Rozanski shouldn't be a teacher at Dwyer High School any more.

The school district confirmed Rozanski is still a teacher at Dwyer.

It won't say how he was disciplined, because it's a personnel issue.

There were 13 G-rated quiz answers but that doesn’t change one parent’s opinion. "Just after reading this, you know, it's not something any kids should have to read. Kids minds are already there, let's not make it worse."

The school district hasn't said why the quiz was handed out in class, but it claims it’s taking steps to make sure it won't happen again at Dwyer High School.

Parents said Mr. Rozanski was at Dwyer Thursday teaching his regularly scheduled classes.

So I bet you want to see the quiz, right?

My question to others is this....

Being an advanced psychology class in high school, and possibly teaching something related to sexual tendencies and innuendo, does this teacher really deserve to be fired? Where can the line be drawn in a case like this? The questions have logical answers even though the material comes across as sexual, and it is to demonstrate a valid point in human psychology.

Looking forward to feedback.

It's a test that shows how things could be perceived as sexual.
My being a teenager, i found this funny.
But using my brain for a moment, i'd find this acceptable seeing as though it's a psychology class.

And it's highschool,
not middle school. Kids can get pregnant and we look a blind eye as though sex isn't something that comes up in highschoolers.

I bet that parent thinks their child is a innocent little girl/boy. Honestly i bet they brought it to their parents so they could laugh about it with them, but they don't see their child as a young adult, but as a adolescent, and treat them as such in sexual matters.

These questions are taken directly from the game "Dirty Minds" - they are obviously meant to have sexual innuendo, and the answers are logical (and hilariously surprising if you have a "dirty mind"). This said, it does come across as a bit explicit - but frankly, it's nothing these kids haven't heard or talked about before. The parents need to get a clue - their child is most likely not the innocent, pure little angel that they think, especially at that age.

So I think the kids, rather than the parents, should have the say on whether it offends them or not. Treat your kids with a bit more maturity - you're smothering them with misguided values.

AP kids are already more like college level learners in their thinking anyway and I would think they would be mature enough to handle such a thing. I would be taken aback maybe but not angry. By high school my kids would have known about the birds and the bees for years. People need to relax. Get mad when they are snorting coke in the bathroom like they used to do at my highschool, lol.

Was he giving the quiz with the intent of teaching about the tension and innuendo? If so, though it may be, unorthodox?, but it was what it was meant to be. He should not be fired if he was teaching that. Plus, as a psychology class, thats going to come up sooner or later, as it is part of the human psyche.

Oh comeon, how can people be mad about this. This is hilarious and a great educational quiz. First, people in high school are old enough for this type of material. Second, it is an Advanced Placement class, that means COLLEGE level. If you are gonna tell me that college students shouldn't be exposed to this you should see what my psychology professor shows us lol.

Everyone here sounds like they share the same sentiment that I do.

I thought this was hilarious and as a parent, if my high school kid is taking AP psychology, there isn't much I wouldn't expect them to talk about. Just the subject alone touches on all aspects of human behavior, and that doesn't exclude sexuality.

I figured that most would agree with the same sentiment, but I was curious to see if anyone found it offensive.

I'm surprised everyone here is so relaxed about it. I was nauseated. Filth like that has no place in high school curriculum. What on earth! I'm a college student and I'd be absolutely appalled if a teacher gave us this quiz in anything other than a course on sexuality, and we're adults. I can't even imagine if my child brought that home!

It's one thing if a peer gives that to a peer. An adult caretaker doing so is completely inappropriate.

Yeah . . .

I was giggling like a school girl while reading those questions, and I am 31 years old.

Like has been said:

1.) It is an AP class. They are more advanced than high school classes.

2.) Even if it was not an AP class, there is nothing in it that has not been seen, heard, talked about, or done by the soon-to-be legal adults.

I don't think this is appropriate for a school test. Whatever the educator wanted to communicate could have been communicated in a different way just as effectively.

You may find this funny, and there is no question lots of kids are exposed to far worse, but it's just something that doesn't belong in a classroom, really.

There's a difference between a kid saying things like that to a kid and a teacher saying things like that to a kid. If a high schooler has sex with another high schooler, it may not necessarily be condoned, but it isn't some heinous crime. If a teacher has sex with a high schooler, however....

I just don't see how it's appropriate for a teacher to be handing out papers that say things like "I can fill your hole" and "I spread before I'm eaten. Your tongue gets me off." I mean, come on....

How one perceives the question is incredibly relevant to a psychology class, advanced or not.

People outraged by this test are small-minded who have no wish to understand why we are who we are. The sexual innuendo only exists to people who are familiar with sex. None of those questions will ever appear sexual to a person unfamiliar with sex, though they can appear both sexual and non-sexual to people who are.

This test in no way teaches or exposes people to sex.

It's pretty close to crossing the line, IMO.

I can see why some parents would be pissed. I can also see that it shouldn't be taken so seriously. Personally, I don't think it was very smart of this teacher handing this out. Even if an AP class.

Once again, this is an AP class. AP classes are college courses. This would not be an issue if the students were in a college environment.

I dont think this guy should get fired. Yes the questions will cause the kids to giggle if they even get it but i could answer all those with out any sexual answers and so can the kids. They are in high school for crying out loud. Its not like the teacher was giving it to them to get sexual answers. If that is the case then yes maybe he should be fired. But how can you be sure if he did or didnt? People just seem to always need something to complain about something. Though its sad when they have to blow a situaton out of proportion like this. There are more important things in the world to complain about choose a significant cause.

I don't understand why this is an issue, none of the answers had anything to do with sex. If your child perceives any of it as sexual then it is something they've been exposed to prior to this quiz which is triggering their brain to formulate sexual answers. Nothing the teacher did is in any way wrong or immoral. The "immorality" was present before they took the quiz, it simply made their parents realize how much they know, and it's frightening.

The issue isn't whether or not the quiz is relevant to a psychology class. I also think that indirectly calling me small-minded and making the assumption that I "have no wish to understand why we are who we are" was a little uncalled for.

The issue here is whether this quiz was appropriate for children. Or, rather, whether it was appropriate for an adult to give the quiz to children. Or, even further, whether it was appropriate for an adult teacher to give the quiz to children in a school setting. And Lemon.Fresh, AP or not, they are still minors. I was reading The Grapes of Wrath at the age of six. Does that mean I was ready to date an adult? My point being that just because you're intellectually at a certain point doesn't make you emotionally on the same level. Teenagers are even younger emotionally than they are biologically, in my opinion, and it's gross for an adult to be speaking to them this way, through a quiz or not.

A lot of very young kids are being taught what sex is. I took sex ed in sixth grade, but I knew what sex was years before then. Does that mean that third graders should be given the quiz because if they understand the innuendos they've already been exposed to sex anyway? I'm guessing there are no parents in this thread.
