More scum coming out of an entirely demoralized, moronic society.

Am I surprised?? Hell no, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm 100% against trash like this being in the classroom. It has NO PLACE.

If when my children are older, and they are given something like this by their friends, I may not like it, but I'll shrug it off, knowing I got stuff like this from my friends when I was that age. However if they were given something like that in a classroom setting by and adult, I would be pissed. It crosses a line between appropriate interaction between a teacher and a student under the age of 18 and inappropriate.

This shouldnt be a high school psychology test, it should be for 20+ because they are more mentally mature than teenagers in heat.

Come on! One episode of Family Guy has about as much sexual innuendo as this test. And Family Guy is a little more blatant about it sometimes too. Anyway, this was a test to show the students something, it's not like the teacher was getting the girls all hot and bothered so he could have his way.

Most of the adults in this thread must either not have kids, not have little brothers and sisters, or they don't care about their kids. Who the hell let's this trash into a classroom?! I'm a junior in HS right now but I wasn't raised to be an american pie type of low class guy with no morals. I've grown up in a home and life where Jesus was first and we had personal and moral responsibilites to uphold. I have a little brother which I love. He's annoying but I'd protect him with my life. If he was in HS and received this test, I would be BEYOND PISSED. I don't care what type of demoralization this country goes through. My brother will not be exposed to sex and sexual innuedos at an early age and get f-ed up in the head like most of you perverted adults are. This teacher was sick and I hope he gets fired. WTH is wrong with some of you?! Its bad enough teen pregnancy and sex is freakin glorified in the media with Teen Mom and mtv propagating their crap. It seems most of you want things to be even worse by approving of this sick and filthy behavior!

Well, I'm a freshman, and I've heard way worse come from middle schoolers. Like the story says, it was an exercise of types. Slightly questionable, but not to alarming in my opinion

Also, these "children" aren't children. They are young adults, many probably 18. And after reading some other posts, I agree, its only dirty if you think of it that way.

This test is only as dirty as the mind of the reader - that is the whole point of it and why it is being given in a psycology class. The only parents that are getting upset are the ones that do not see all the dirty stuff is their own minds interpretation - proabably the same one's that do not spend enough time with their kids to realise not only do they know about this stuff - they see it and are exposed to it every day from others their own age. Maybe if the parents had taken this class they would understand the point of the test - that the dirtiest parts of it is whatever their mind makes them.

HERE'S A TEST FOR ALL THOSE WHO THINK THIS TEST IS BAD.

Take the words you think are bad and should not be in the test. The words that you think make this test dirty - and then post all definitions of those words. You will find all the words have multiple definitions and the only thing that made the word dirty was you choosing the definition.

Do you not watch TV? You have to keep in mind this was an ADVANCED PSYCHOLOGY CLASS. Where you learn about the mind and how it thinks.

Any other class I would agree - but this is for a psychology class - the teacher is showing how the mind interprets things - in your case your dirty mind doesnt see these innocent words discribing something innocent - because you are interpreting it in a dirty way. If you doubt this simply post what words should not have been used in this test along with all the definitions of this word.

Why can you not understand the dirtiest part of this test is the readers mind? Perhaps you should have taken this class in school.

We're not talking about first graders here. We're talking about advanced psychology in high school. Each of these questions has a completely non-sexual answer (the first question's answer, for instance, is "nose.") In fact, most of them have no possible sexual answer.Your mind creates that reality. It fills in where you just skim, and it digs into your own preconceptions and biases. In fact, everything sexual you read into these questions is a figment of your imagination. Really, that's what it is, your brain is making stuff up. You're deluding yourself.

Let's look at that first question;

A) I am a protrusion that comes in many sizes.
When I'm not well, I drip.
When you blow me, you feel good.

There is no possible sexual answer to this. Why? Read that last question. when you blow me, you feel good. Now, I guess there might be some well-endowed contortionists in the class, but for the rest of us, the only conceivable answer is nose.

And the realization of this, the realization that your own brain can trick you, is a core principle of psychology. Pretty much any method of doing this would be "controversial" for exactly the reason the lesson is being given - people are uncomfortable with viewing the reality of their own minds. Are you comfortable with knowing that your brain is writing pornography where there in fact is none? Probably not. Would you be offended if your brain wrote in racism or sexism where there was none? That's another test that could be given.

It's a lesson that perception does not always equal reality. Most students will already know they cannot always trust their eyes. But in an advanced class, it makes sense that they would also learn that they can't always trust their own brain. It's an awareness-raiser, and leads to more thoughtful reading and contextualization.

So yeah. These parents need to grow the hell up and the teacher needs a pat on the back. Sex is part of reality, get the hell over it

And what does have a place, exactly? Please, what are your standards, that we should all bow before? What would be your educational regimen? Be sure to include a lesson plan for an advanced high school psychology course.

What?

Try making a little bit of sense before you post.

Eh, since you choose to present your case in such a pathetic way, it's really not worth a response.

I'm not buying into your jargon.

I'm not a teacher.

LOL!

Wow. People freaking out about this, I hope you don't have cable, radios, and allow your kids on the internet. Those questions were totally subjective, and you would only chuckle if you had some knowledge about sex. If you want your children to lead sheltered lives, then I guess homeschooling is the way to go. Should we also not teach biology, because it might offend some parents?

That's good, 'cause I'm not selling. I'm simply explaining reality. If you choose to remain ignorant when presented with knowledge, that is your call, but it's pretty silly to do so. Further, I didn't use any "jargon" - it's all in plain English. "Your brain makes up stuff that isn't there." How is that "jargon"?

I'm not a teacher.

LOL!

Obviously. If you were, I would be deeply worried about the state of our schools. However, you made as if you had a knowledge-based opinion on what should and should not be taught in schools, and how it should and should not be taught. Are you ignorant of even your own position, unityemissions, that you can't even present your own counter-argument?

The teacher could have used another method to teach the concept. This is sexual harassment when it happend in the workplace.

A little challenge for you. Show me even a single part of that quiz that is 'sexual'. Waiting forward for your answer

School in not a construction site. It is a public building. The fact that so many parents are upset is evidence that this is inappropriate. Furthermore, if you have a daughter in this school and another student says to her, "All day long, it's in and out. I discharge loads from my shaft. Both men and women go down on me" are you going to laugh and think it is funny? I remember hating to ride the school bus because the immature boys on the bus were always making sexual innuendoes. It was miserable to go through that as a young girl. I believe there are some students who would be repeating the items on the quiz for fun at inappropriate times and places. The teacher was unwise. If it is an issue with some students and some parents, why not find another way to get the concept across to the students. I don't think nudity is always sexual and I think nudes are great art studies, but I'm not going to put a naked human model in front of a high school students in and art class to teach an art concept.
