Hey, I'm from Reading too. Where you buying your petrol from? I had to pay £1.30 a litre yesterday.

Just paid $3.25 a gallon for the cheapest 85 octane crap.

which equates to $8.68 per american gallon

I always use the 89 octane and NEVER the ethanol crapolla! If your car is not "flex fuel" ready do not ever use this if you happen to be traveling through Iowa. It burns too hot and you will get lousy gas mileage.

There is a VeraSun Ethanol plant about ten miles from where I live. One of the last holdouts in this state. I suspect it's just a matter of time before it goes belly up like so many others.

It's plain ridiculous the amount we're paying here in the UK. Makes me laugh when the people from the US complain about their paltry fuel bills. I have a 1.2 litre engine Fiat, it's pretty economical but 10 quid these days goes nowhere. My wife drives to work every day, about a ten mile round trip and it's costing us 140-160 pounds a month in petrol. And the government just keep on hiking the duty rates. Screw the UK, as soon as I'm able, I'm out.

ATL 30341 $3.35 regular. It was tough enough at $2.78. Already started cutting back on driving and I don't understand why people are still going 75mph on the highway just to go from one exit to the next within the city.

I'm in Strasbourg, France, for the moment. Petrol is at around 1.60 EUR per liter, which is 6.40 per gallon, which is 8.95 USD per gallon. Not as bad as some other cities/countries...but at least there's at least some form of public transport here. You're not completely useless if you don't own a car.

Here in Austria gas is 1,37 Euro/liter, which is about 7,161 Dollar/gallon. (Although we are STILL buying from Libya )

Between 3.41-3.51 in the Metro Boston area. This is the highest I've ever seen.

I suspect the same situation as 2008 will occur. Everyone will cut way back, the reserves will go way up, and oil falls way down again. This is what happens when something that is traded as a commodity that is fueled on speculation. Of course it will always be needed however I really feel this is how they gauge how much is too much. When people cut down significantly like in 2008 the market for oil falls. It's just how close can they get it to the breaking point.

It's about £0.95/ltr here in Morrisons Supermarket. and that's including road tax as that was abolished a couple of years ago and added to the fuel.

And for those mentioning Cigs. they are about £1.50 i think (not fully sure as I don't smoke)

$3.65 a gallon of regular in Las Vegas,NV and a bit higher if you by it on the Vegas Strip.

They're giving it away in the USA. Here in the UK it's about £1.30 per litre. That's about £5.85per gallon - $9 roughly.

People should watch a documentary called Collapse. Perhaps there's some truth to it.

They're doing this for a higher revaluation of the Iraqi dinar so the rich can make maximum profit. Watch after the revaluation happens things will shortly begin to settle down and gas will drop and precious metals will begin to go down also. Maybe not immediately for the precious metals but soon also.
