Board crashing!

Why are all the threads about the board crashing being erased?

Maybe they don't want to give the hacker any recognition, but you just can't pretend it didn't happen.

We did a thread cleanup because there were a lot of "OMG! What HAPPENED?" messages posted around.

Basically, the censor file got compromised (the database is fine) but the team was on top of it very quickly. William got the file fixed, OzChris and others did a wonderful job of cleanup.

Yeah, well, the recent posts is messed up......

Yes they did! It was like seconds it seemed like! I've not been on a board where things were delt with so quickly!

That was kind of spooky though. Everytime I loaded a page it seemed that more words were replaced. I even saw some good profanity!

Lets all calm down. We've survied worse crashes and hacks than this.

How quickly this forum recovered really is a credit to how professional the mods are, but you can't ignore the irony of the above statement on a conspiracy site!

We may have had a hack attempt.. but due to the superior coding that SkepticOverlord and the admin team here have done, it's quite easy to control and fix....

We'll be fine soon.. back to normal..
