You're absolutely right. That's how most kids find out about things their parents don't want them to know yet
When I was younger, my parents always made sure my friend's parents knew what we were up to.. but it's the technology/internet age now. Kids are doing
things at a much younger age and being exposed to things they wouldnt have seen for a few more years.
While showing kids gore is bad, it's going to happen eventually. I was desensitized by lets say... age ~13-14? I'm not a bad person today, and it
hasn't negatively affected me at all. I've only benefited from it because you see the bigger picture at an earlier age.
If anything it's just helping kids get in touch with reality and realize what happens in this world. You don't want to sugar coat everything your kids
learn because then when they hit the real world they'll be overwhelmed.
I'm not saying it's GOOD, but think of yourself when you were a kid. You probably looked at stuff or heard things you shouldnt have, but did it ruin
your personality? Probably not.
As a parent you want to watch out for your kid.. but as a kid you want your parents to leave you alone. As a kid you think stuff like that might be
interesting, but as a parent you wouldn't want your kid seeing that in a million years. But it's gonna happen.
