Effects of the video processing software are clearly seen. The hoaxer used Motion Tile effects with edge mirroring to introduce camera shake into the video. You can see the mirroring effects along the edge of the video. This proves that the video did not go directly from the camera to YouTube, that it made a stop in between inside a sophisticated video editing software suite. Once you start editing it like that, a skilled hoaxer can put practically anything in it.

oh really now? since when do news stations go out of thier way to debunk ufo videos?!?
could it be that in fact its real and getting so much publicity that perhaps to stop people knowing the truth they make sh** up in order to discredit the footage?...

im sure cbs, same as cnn and other news channels all dabbled in video splicing ect on the day of 911.....yea just thought id throw that out there.

Or maybe it's because it's a hoax and they had to keep a track on a story they covered a few days ago.

Next time throw your crap outside.

Was actually proven a hoax earlier this week here at ATS after a mind numbing 160 pages of analysis which came to the same exact conclusion.

My only question is... Why does the article try to make it seem like the Light was the only craft in the video?

It suggests that there is no way possible for a small ship like this to get here. But wait wasn't there another ship that the light went up to? Funny how the guy doesn't mention anything about the red lights.

Fox news just now said that it was a marketing stunt to promote an upcoming movie, which they did not name. Megyn Kelly is the reporter.

you know what makes me laugh ...is the double standards of people on here..."OH MAIN STREAM MEDIA DISINFORMANTS BLAH BLAH BLAH DONT BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU YADA YADA YADA " but when they agree with a theory or an opinion thats similar to yours ie if you are a skeptic and dont believe in ufo's then they speak the truth right? right?
joke

You can create 160 pages of analysis and it still won't mean a thing because all 160 pages are presented as someone's personal interpretation. In fact, you could probably find someone out there who could present another 160 pages that show it to be a genuine event.

We have this horrible misperception that truth can be found in opinion. In other words, if enough people say that the stop sign on the corner is green, then by golly, it must be green! If you have any doubts, just look at those 160 pages of facts that were manu'fact'ured to make sure that you believe it!

You can scan the web and find as many people who debunk the debunkers as you find debunkers happily bunking. After a while, the truth gets lost and nobody even cares anymore because then it becomes a point of saving face; of just not being wrong.

In the end, it's your choice but... it IS a choice because, you don't have to buy any of it.

Again, take the time to read the thread (at the very least) and read what people have provided instead of dismissing it because you assume they don't hold a position worthy of giving an opinion on the matter.

It's a confirmed hoax. Unfortunate but true.

I thought the red lights were the most interesting thing, thought it was weird no-one seemed to notice them.

What are you talking about? Have you even read this thread or the cbs article? Have you even seen the 1st video all the way through? Or the 2nd one, you know the video from the guy holding the cell phone? Both of those original videos show the light going directly up to a red lighted something or other.

I don't know if this is a hoax or not, I just find it funny that no one mentions it in this CBS report and then they try to tell us that there is no way this "15 foot" ship could have gotten here.

yes its is odd isnt it when there was a sighting last week in the U.S of a red light in the sky dropping a flare or what looked like a flare....nobody seems to be mentioning that footage or how eerily close it is to the original footage.

hmmmmm
