okay i remember a couple of years back this story

www.ghost-story.co.uk...

it freaked the hell out of me at the time, including the picture
apparently there have been other ghostly sightings there too

there is something so creepy about the picture, it is so clear and it is definatly not just a part of the structure, or a reflection

what do you think? and has it ever been debunked

to me it looks like a head off a statue... just my opinion

it is definatly not just a part of the structure, or a reflection

Why isnt it?.....

Could be a Figurehead of a Ship, Could be a statue, could be that someones cut the bottom of the picture off to make it look freaky...Then again, Considering it was in an Aquirium it was probably a reflection, The Deep has very odd lighting which could easilly create such a reflection, Ive been there twice

Maybe the eye/ear area is just a piece of seaweed and the rest of the head is coral. Maybe it just all comes together to really look like a face. Such things can happen, I think. It could be photoshopped. It could be a statue head. Maybe...just maybe it is a ghost. It is hard to tell just from one picture.

Hey techVampyre. I understand what you're saying, but at least be constructive in your criticism.

The OP is brand new, and might need a little guidance. Don't be so harsh.

the official word from the museum was that there was no fallen material/artifact in there to have given off that reflection or image

Heres another thread made a couple of years ago on the same image...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

There was talk of it being photoshopped, other rumours about it being built on the site of an old hospital or that kind of thing.

Not sure it was ever really debunked though. Lots of people who thought they were right as usual, but nothing definate.

CX.

Very interesting photo OP.

Looks like the head of a statue. Quite creepy but I'm unconvinced there is anything paranormal going on here.

Most probably a trick of the light or at least I hope it is

Thanks for posting.

op let me make a suggestion take a look around ats at the content that is on the boards just trying to help you out here instead of posting a bunch of threads in a row why not try to make some friends in stead of enemies ...Just don't want you to be taking as a troll. by the way thanks for adding me to the foe list.

It's just too easy to fake to even think about it being a ghost.

In 5 minutes I added another head above it in a similar way without really bothering to blend it in that well.

Imagine if you had a few hours to do it?

Cheers. I just thought I'd show how easy it would be for anyone competent on Photoshop to have done it with little difficulty.

Sure whoever made this image just;

1. Found a spooky looking image of a man on Google.
2.Cropped, selected and rotated the head and put it in the most suitable location. (He probably thought it would be easy to merge it on the edge so he doesn't have to worry about the neck / body).
3. Erased the edges of the head with a soft brush to blend it in gently.
4. Used Hue / Saturation, Colour Balance and Brightness / Contrast refinement to give it the same tonality as the rest of the image.
5. Possibly done some more brush work with the tones sampled from the rocks to make it seem as it's part of the backdrop.
