Sorry about that. They expire once the time runs out. For example, I linked to the 6 hr plot so it expired. That's why I did the screen shot, because I knew it would expire.

If you go to the page link, you can select the station and view the current ones.

HERE is the main site. You want to select GPW for the Glacier Peak. One of the problems with the new edit rules, I can't go back and update it! Sorry...

Thanks for the update and clarification. It's somewhat humorous that the History Channel is airing a special on Krakatoa right now

Dial up is still available? I don't know which is more interesting to me... Dial up still exists... Or this ready to puke rock.

Westcoast!! Yes, those are exactly the clouds I was talking about!! You captured fantastic pictures, and I noticed there were more odd formations around today. I'm going to have to keep my eye to the sky again tomorrow, and take some pics of my own if I can.

By the way I am loving this thread. You have done great research and present it in a way even someone clueless on the subject as myself can understand clearly. And there are another number of fantastic contrbutors on this thread, it is all greatly appreciated!! With these issues being so close to our homes, I'm glued to it every chance I get. (which isn't as much as I'd like under the circumstances.....)

Eyes on the sky and ears to the ground, things are getting odd around here!

I'll be checking in tomorrow.

Thank you very much for the roll on the floor - yes - it still exists and I am subject to it at home -
- but ya know for $5,000.00 US dollars and $100.00 US dollars a month there after, I could have a feature that is halfway between high speed and dial up. -- (I live in a remote area) -- Maybe someday if I play the Lottery, and by chance win I will put my own tower here on this mountain and people can pay me for reception

Westcoast, the tremor map today is very intersting.

I saw clouds like that similar around Rainier today except they were white, it definitely made Rainier look really bright today. Did anyone else notice the big mushroom shaped cloud hanging out over Rainier today?

Yes, those are actually "lenticular" clouds, they are a little different than the big rolling sea like ones in the photos. Lenticular clouds sometimes look like UFOs hovering around the mountain, they are very cool.

I also have been seeing clouds like the ones West Coast posted the last couple of days. The night before last they were all lit up from below from the street lights. Looked amazing. I don't know that they mean anything but they do give you a weird under the sea feeling, as others have noted.

Lenticular clouds are the result of air flowing over a mountain and being disturbed into a wavelike pattern on the other side. I don't know what significance that would have considering the seismic activity, though...

I've never posted here before, just lerking in the shadows, but I live over in Bremerton WA, across the water from Seattle. May sound like a nut, but there is a way to tell when earthquakes are about to hit in the puget sound area by watching the waves in the puget sound. You have to be at the fault line that runs from Manchester to Bremerton and watch for waves that come out of nowhere, with no boats around. The waves follow the fault line. The higher the wave, the bigger the quake. And how often they come, tells how soon it will be. I predicted a few back around the time the big one hit in 1997 or so. Told a few news agencies, but no response naturally.

Anyway, I don't know if this was posted in this thread already or what those graphs really mean, but have you guys looked at the "SHUK SHZ UW -- : Mount Baker Ski Area" list of quakes at www.pnsn.org...

Seems like there's a lot more activity there than Glacier Peak.

Thank you for the post. That is very interesting! Please be sure to let us know if you see any rogue waves. (seriously)

Mount Baker often has small quakes...and has been known to smoke a bit from time to time (or I should say steam). There was a good swarm there not too long ago (2002 or 2005?) that had people thinking for bit that she was up to something, but it died back down. I always have my eye on her, but just recently those graphs you linked to have become very unreliable. The first one is glitchy and the second one...I don't know WHAT is going on with it. It was totally off-line for awhile and when it came back up last week it has been a mess.

Cool pic Berkeleygal!!!

Mount Baker isn't dormant, but the most notable indicator of activity is the occasional release of steam and I think it has been decades since that happened.
..

I live in Surrey too, sorry that is not correct about Baker, almost every year i have noticed steam coming from it.

I'm sorry if my comment is inaccurate. I haven't personally observed any steam eruptions from Mount Baker. I was more relying on memory of what I have read in the media. I do however think that actual steam eruptions are pretty infrequent. (There is cloud formation associated with the peak however and it might sometimes be hard to tell whether this might be weather or volcanic),

Okay, so it looks like there was another similar event tonight at around 9:05 pm local time. I went through numerous stations and screen shot those that show it. Again, it is strongest at Glacier. It still appears 'glitchy' but with something real under it. I just do't know....

All of these are 6 hr time frames:

Glacier:

Baker:

Rockport:

You still can't see these happening at Rainier...but one of the seismos up there is pretty darn scary:

Edit to add SOURCE

There are a whole lot of 'spikes' on many of the seismos. I think it depends on which array it is part of...there seems to be a whole lot of technical difficulties right now with several different monitoring agencies.

JustMike...I am leaning more and more towards your theory. (subduction zone)

I was browsing that site and came across a very strange...well see for yourselves, Here.

It is the SOUA SM Station, the 12 hour I believe.

What kind of Vibration does this?

You usually see that with tidal affects, but yes it is a bit odd given its location. I usually chalk that type of stuff up to equipment, but I am not going to assume anything right now!
I did notice there are several smaller localized spikes there also....it is very close to the last quake, a 2.2

also, in looking at the graphs, it appears we just had a close to 2.0 in the rockport vicinity.

****THEORY WARNING****
:

So as I was laying in bed, trying to turn my brain off so I could go to sleep, it came to me. It all came together and I have a theory. Actually it goes back to my original theory I first posted in my Washington State thread last year (see my sig line for link).

In that original theory, i spoke about a recent scientific paper that had just come out proposing that there was a large, undiscovered magma chamber sitting under a big portion of Washington State. My theory was that this chamber fed the cascade range, and the then newly discovered volcano several hundred miles off-shore.

I further speculated on my deep tremor thread (see sig line) that the tremors could perhaps be the ebb and flow of this massive, viscous material just below the surface.

so I lay there thinking what could be showing up on several different volcano seismos at the same time, that big, without recording a quake? It would have to be in the low hz similar to harmonic tremor. It wasn't just a glitch (IMO), not an avalanche, not weather...WHAT IF: There was some sort of shift whithin the magma chamber. Would it not register the most on the volcano seismographs, also triggering smaller quakes near the surface and a new sudden rash of deep tremors all up and down the coast? (all of which we have had in the past two days).

So there you have it. Tear it apart, if you will.

I saw clouds like this in San Antonio earlier in the decade when we were being heavily sprayed with chemtrails (pre 2006). I thought HAARP at the time because they reminded me of sine waves (meh. I think *everything's* HAARP
) Anyway, it was a really cloudy, stormy looking day.

Interesting theory, btw, Westcoast. I don't know enough to speculate, but love these threads- fascinating! For goodness sake, Stay Safe!

I like your theory and think it is plausable. Only problem now will be finding the evidence to back it.
If you think about the fact that big earthquakes can create small shifts in the Earth's axis, then it may be possible that the fluids of the planet have to adjust accordingly. For a large magma chamber, this may take quite a while for it to readjust accordingly. All your threads can tie in nicely with your theory.

Westcoast, I have only a couple of minutes this morning but need to tell you about this....
As you know I have several cats and dogs and they are all very dynamic, not the types to nap all day. This morning all four cats were galloping around the house from 4 am until I left, non-stop!! Obviously wired about something.

But the Chihuahua is what really caught my attention. He was barking and barking, which isn't too odd for him as he is just a bit off....... I scolded him a few times and when he wouldn't stop i went to see what was up. He was barking at his water dish!! The water in the dish was making those vibration rings, and every time a new set would start, he would bark again. I have seen these before when someone was walking right by the dish, but no one was walking, and the cats were still at this point. It was still going on when I had to leave for work, around 6:30 - 6:45 was the time frame. There was no one walking, cats were not galloping at that time, no vehicles outside, no heavy equipment. I would be interested to see what the quake monitors said at that time.

Anyway it was interesting.
