Another great post DD...S&F

Jesse is THE MAN. I really have learned to respect this guy over the last couple years. He is a true PATRIOT. Obviously, the most evil people in BigGov today are Janet Napolitano and John Pistole, IMO. They just look and act the part of tyrants.

Ii is hard to prevail in this type lawsuit but at least somebody is trying before we loose all our freedoms. Most people seem to be willing to accept dangerous XRays and sexual assaults as a cost of "security". I am just glad I no longer have to fly. Unfortunately BigGov plans to "go to the streets" with their mobIle XRay units to zap people at concerts, sports venues, malls and random screenings in the near future. This nation is fast desending into a 'Police State 1984".

Jesse Ventura.. So what if he used to be a professional wrestler... There are lot worse things a person could be.... Consistently he confronts TPTB and calls them on their short comings. Now he sticks it to the TSA.. Good.. I wish more people would..

and yes Jesse Ventura or Ron Paul (or both on a ticket) 2012

This is all well and good, and most of me says, "Go Jesse!!!" However, how will we feel if/when security measures are drawn down and (possibly) a plane explodes over a population center and (possibly) crashes into it, taking out who knows how many people?

Do we adapt to the dark nature of our modern world where a single person with can bring down an airliner or do we maintain our dignity? Is it possible to be SAFE while maintaining dignity and health? I say "health" because some people suggest that the scanners cause cancer. Must we choose between being irradiated or fondled? If neither happens, how can we prevent suicide bombers from boarding a plane and taking it down?

Is there a solution to this problem? I like Jesse and am behind his tough stance; yet, I'm for safety, too. Explaining the importance of "dignity" to a someone who has lost his family from an airliner disaster might be tough. If such a disaster happened, you know people would cry foul and ask why there weren't any security screenings. This is a situation where the government is damned if it does and damned if it doesn't.

Jesse Ventura IS a true PATRIOT, and America desperately needs an individual to step into the oval office and only have what's best for AMERICA and our citizens on his or her mind. Someone who has the courage to tell the TPTB to F off cause things are going to change.

What really gets me down and pissed off is I can't help but think that I am being naive to think that this could even exist. Could someone lead this nation without the control of TPTB? Or has it gone past the point of no return?
I just don't know.

This could gather all the momentum of a runaway train but all they'd need to do is send some shmo/patsy in with a firecracker strapped to his leg, get busted on a pat-down and those making all the noise would then go back to watching Nascar and American Idol.

I wish Jesse luck though

I understand your quandry. However, BigGov is the problem, not the solution. BIgGov will stage an event to keep the people in fear and therby eventually enslave them.

that very probably will happen..

we are dealing with the mafia...'pay us money or we burn your shop...'...people have got to stand up and say NO....does that mean your shop will get burned down....yes....of course...but thats better than being enslaved.

there are more important things than a few lives....and freedom is one of them...why else do our soldiers think they go to war?...they think its right to risk their lives for the freedom of their family and friends...

its ironic really...politicians are always saying they have to do anything to save one life....erm...just not if your a soldier..

I disagree - the solution to this problem has already been posted by TheBorg - use dogs - they are cheap and effective and no one's rights are violated.

He is not the first person to file a suit against the TSA but he is one that can draw the attention that this deserves. I applaud Jesse! You go boy!

Guys, how many people have died after 9/11 due terrorism in the US?

I don't remember any. Mostly because we haven't been able to prove that nay of them are "terrorists."

A muslim man that kills people is a terrorist but when a crackhead kills another crackhead he isn't a terrorist?

I think there's more terrorism involved in the drug market than any other place.

Wait, after all the hoopla around the TSA pat downs, you're telling me he's the first person to file a law suit?

Well, that is most likely the case - most people are in 'lock step' when it comes to giving their freedoms away to a government 'trying to protect' them.

I am sure there are other suits out there - but nothing this direct. Good for Jesse.

THEY use hypothetical, possible (as in struck by lightening %s) scenarios to justify these losses of freedoms. You COULD BE a threat is not the same as u ARE a threat, and that mentality of paranoia is how they have brought tyranny to the USA.

The terrorists hate us for our freedoms, so to fight THEM... we are going to take away your freedoms. That make sense to anyone here?

And why would a terrorist try to bomb a plane after 9-11? The most secure and protected structures after 9-11 would NOT be their targets, it would probably be something unexpected... if u believe in this bs.
WE are national security... not gov't goon squads, without US, there is no USA!

Dogs is a great Idea. All for it!

But here's a thought....

Why are we scanning DOMESTIC PASSENGERS anyway? If it's all about terrorists, then why would a DOMESTIC flight need a voyeuristic or molesting approach to begin with? Because it's not about terrorists. It's about turning our country into a fascist/socialist regime that only the like of Hitler and Mussolini could be proud.

I Agree, but with those "domestic" wars ( Drugs and Terror) they sell it to the sheeple.

He was more than a pro wrestler. He was a navy seal before he was a movie star. He was a good govenor and seems to have a need for the truth. He'd get my vote. He's got the right idea. He's using his knowledge of his stardom to get his cause out there. It just happens to be the same cause that alot of people are interested in. If he goes after that with such nerveless vigilance, then everything else he speaks about and stands for will go with him. Moral values, the real laws that used to govern the US, not the chaos of idiocy we have today.

The only thing other politicians seem to have going for them, if they ever served as a bullet shield at all, is their many years in law and politics. I dont trust either one of those hold much water in the USofA anymore.

Ron Paul, Jesse Ventura... Id vote for them. In a heartbeat. I dont think they could make things any worse for mankind, but yeah, it could shake the world up quite a bit.

Even if Ron Paul or Jesse Ventura got elected to President, which will never happen, the top 100 corporations' money will absolutely dominate the country's policies & procedures, like it has been doing for 100+ yrs. Don't vote, it only encourages them.

What about you guys? Is it better to lose your dignity or your life???

Thanks for allowing my 2 cents.

You didn't just ask that????? I would rather lose NEITHER!!!

We went to St Thomas in November. On the return flight, we tried to check-in on line, because the baggage fees are lower if you check in on line, but only I was able to. My boyfriend could not check in. He called the Airline and they said he had been randomly selected for an extra security check and would not be able to check in until we got to the airport. He fumed all morning about how he felt he had been profiled because he is Hispanic and I just kept trying to calm him down, inwardly chuckling and thinking it was no big deal. He was especially ticked off because he is a Vet who served in the Coast Guard during Desert Storm. I was expecting the kind of patdown they give you before you can enter our football stadium for an NFL game. It wasn't all over the news yet as the new patdowns had just started that weekend of our return flight. We got to the airport and went through Customs, and then it got wierd. They made a big deal about stopping the line and closing the "barrier" (webbing between posts) and opening a separate section to pull him out, with everyone else watching and wondering what was going on. The rest of us went through the metal detector and then I went over to the side to wait and watched as they did the special patdown. Let me tell you, I was SHOCKED when they went all the way up his legs to his groin, and they weren't any too gentle about it. He wears loose jeans, and they got right up in there, all the way up. The only thing they didn't do was to actually grab his privates - the hands were flat and against (palm towards) his leg. I was quite surprised and no longer amused when I saw them do that and they didn't take him in a private area or anything, just over to the side, in front of the rest of the passengers. So I say GO JESSE! And if anybody does hear about a class action lawsuit, please let me know as I think my boyfriend would be very interested.

In the US, if you want to file a suit against the government like this, unless you're a big name and/or have lots of money to back yourself with, you're not going to get past round 1.

How many people here KNOW the difference between the U.S. and the U.S.A. Come on already, WE do NOT live in the U.S. According to the corporate document, the Constitution, the "U.S." is the capital building and surrounding 10 miles square, any territory or military enclave. A "union State" is a Commonwealth!!!! It is NOT a territory nor is it part of the U.S. Let's get the vocabulary straigfht, THIS is wqhat keeps getting you and I into trouble, we don't KNOW where were live.

Tort law is also used to sue the agencies.
