Warming not really more like a symptom. Is it man made. We are pretty influential.

3. Birds die in flocks all the time. This is not unusual. People are just paying more attention.

The Internet is around for at least 15 years. Something like what happens now would have also been noticed.

4. Reptiles are not going to eat you in this or any other dimension.

Uhm... Reptiles eat people, it happens just stay away from them.

Sunspot activity does little or nothing. Believe me I've checked. The lack of them even increases the amount of sunlight that we get. by a very little bit.

I find the OP oddly comforting. It's good to know I'm not the only person on this forum that has out of date pasta and stale bread in the pantry. No beans though. I had a jar of uncooked beans as part of a chili making kit that was fourteen years old. It had survived three moves and I was almost sentimentally attached because it was a gift from a friend who has since passed away. But the jar kept falling on me when I was reaching for the soup so I finally chucked them out in a tantrum. I hate beans anyway. Should I buy a new jar of beans? Are they standard apocalypse food? I'm afraid all that fiber will make our family run through our apocalyptic stash of toilet paper.

Did someone here say they have a thirty year old tin of food? That beats my fourteen year old jar of beans. I'm impressed.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. And running out of toilet paper. And bean induced flatulence. The rest of life is a piece of cake...if you avoid the TSA. Remember, Janet Napolitano is looking out for us. I feel safer knowing she has Walmart shoppers keeping a close eye on suspicious characters for us.

You, my friend, have ATSitis. We all go through it, most come out normal again. When you are new to the boards, soaking up all this doom it wears on you. You just need to remember:

1. 99% of the posts here are opinion, personal belief or evidenced by those who want to support their opinion or belief.
2. .05% of the posts here are plain hoaxes perpetrated by real losers, who have nothing in their lives but to troll conspiracy theorists.
3. the last half a percent are stone cold truth. As a heads up, they are the ones about reptilians. Be really scared of the lizard people!

But seriously, I combat the doom by actively researching opposing opinions. If something gets under my skin, I go find sources that debunk the issue. After that, I find I can view the topic in a more objective light.

You only fear the process.......when you arrive after the process you'll have a good old laugh and see how silly and pointless the state you got yourself in was..........
