Healthcare will only be fair and balanced when we are all on the same page. Be it for or against " current socialized" bill or not.

We either all have to individually be required to purchase on our own, if that is your choice, or all covered via taxes.

When we are all given the same power with our voice the outcome is fair. Until then we will never agree.

This would mean
A. No employer paid healthcare
B. No state or federal employee healthcare benefits

Or
Single payer.

I personally think either would work just fine. But it would have to be equal power to individuals across the board.

But to add...this is what angers me so about the govt. How can you even argue any point when you don't have to worry about you or your family getting sick. You are covered.

You people are all arguing about the problem from different points of views, but not getting to the heart of the problem.

Whether or not you believe in capitalism or socialism is really not the issue here. If you have any sense of morality or human decency, you would realize that healthcare shoud have NEVER been turned into a for-profit business. It is 100% immoral to try to make a profit off of human suffering and life or death situations.

If companies want to honestly compete for goods and services that are non-essential to sustaining or protecing human life (toys, cars, yachts, TVs), I could really care less. That choice will be made by the people in a democracy.

But what kind of people are you and your fellow Americans? Have you become that cold hearted, evil, and blinded by greed ?

These doctors who were interested in making money should have studied business. If they can no longer exploit people in need at a premium and can't settle for doing a good deed at a reasonable standard of living, good riddance!

Obama's system does not address the root of the problem so I won't say that it is a great solution because it isn't. The right solution for a Christian country or any highly moral population would be to remove all profits in the healthcare industry as it relates to non-elective procedures. Health insurance companies, production of life sustaining drugs, hospital care, etc. should all be non-profit.

But now some will argue that the medical field will suffer because companies and individuals will have no reason to strive to research and develop new drugs, procedures, technologies because there is no profit involved. FALSE, that is a total lie. There are decent people in the world, people who love helping others, are fascinated by health and science, and sole driving force in life is not making indecent profits. There are people out there that are not living life to try to scam a buck off their neighbor. They are of excellent mind and honorable character and have the capacity to help. Their only limitations are the resource barriers that prohibit them from entering the field. Attending medical school should be free for the most qualifed candidates and low cost for the rest. If people didn't have to worry about paying back a quarter of a million dollars in loans and could earn a decent living, so many more people would be attracted to the field for the right reasons. How do I know this is true? Look at how many people go to war, become teachers, firefighters, or policeman despite the fact that isn't always glamorous. Look at Europe and the countries with free healthcare. They have not fallen behind at all in terms of medical procedures. In fact, some would say they have more advancements because the motive to withold information for profit is removed.

When it comes to things that are sacred, let's stop assuming the worst in all people. Raise children with the right values that the founding fathers fought to live by. No society can support everyone being corrupt, it's called lawlessness and anarchy and the whole system fails to everyone's hurt. Just like healthcare.
