Any guitar heads in here will be surprised that someone who has played on & off for over 25 years has only just heard of Paul Gilbert. I'm listening to everything I can get hold of at the moment... here's a couple of my favs so far:

Paul Gilbert: Let the Computer Decide

Paul Gilbert - The Echo: Song

Thats true as a matter of fact thats one of my favorite CD's right now. Silverwing is also great I like the 2009 version

It's funny my musical taste has had a complete overhaul the last year or so. I've realized that I've outsourced my musical taste overseas.

Another great call Silverado292! Can't say I've followed Arch Enemy religiously, but this (My Apocalypse) is a monster of a track esp the guitar break from 2:42 (listening to the mp3 now)
Is Angela human?

I once played Prodigy so loud it blew the caulk off my front windows and they fell out onto the porch.
I highly recommend the following....
The footage of Henrdix at woodstock, it is a visual masterpiece.
Carcass- Wake up and smell the carcass.
Go to u-tube and find the video for Ministry/ Filth Pig, the live version, it appears to be in Toronto I believe.

Willie Hutch - (I'm gonna hold on)

Merry Christmas!

Angela definitely has a powerful voice I started listing to them after she replaced Johan so I really haven't listened to much of their older works. Have you ever heard of Dethklok?

diggin' some cypress at the moment, big up the tree fans among us

top choices so far, i guess an alternative reason for starting this thread is to pick up some new music to listen to here and there, my tastes vary immensely... my apocalypse was a brilliant choice i think, definitely a song i would want to be listening to in the advent of having to defend for yourself, some speed/hardcore metal of some kind would add well to the equation

Muse's newest album "Resistance"

Totally ATS centric lol especailly the beautiful and genius "exogenesis parts 1,2 and 3.."
And the tracks;

Mk Ultra
The Resistance
United States of Eurasia
Uprising

Matt Belamy is just the best songwriter/musician/composer of his generation and im sure he is a fully paid up ATS member!

I would have to agree with you. Try talking about mk ultra on my space and you get the "People" onto you. They have balls!
