I just think it's another con job. You know, keep "terrorism" alive. Of course someone may actually get poisoned for the cause. "See, look, we told you there were terrorists." Honestly even if there are evil terrorists lurking, I'm sure there aren't enough of them waiting to poison the salad bar at everyone's local restaurant. Contrary to what the media would like you to believe, there aren't that many truly evil people out there.

All the evidence we have available to us, relating to 9/11 indicates that the guilt rests solidly with our intelligence services..

The only "evidence" we have that "Al Qaeda" had anything to do with attacking the US, is that our "leaders" say so.

Considering our "leadership's" track record when it comes to telling us the truth, I think I would rather trust the 1,200 architects, engineers, and airline pilots who insist the official story is bogus..

My point is, while there certainly are people around the world who would love to see America fall, I'm pretty sure it has more to do with our interventionist military foreign policy than the fact that we're "more free" than anybody else..

If they actually do hate us because of our freedoms, then aren't we playing to their whims when we create laws that suspend and restrict our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms?

I don't mean to be too far off topic here, so I'd like to finish this post by saying that if I hear about salad bars being poisoned, I'll just assume that Al CIAduh is taking cues from the Rajneesh playbook..

Why would they go for the salad bars? Did the terrorists do their homework on the diet of Americans?

Also, even if terrorists didn't do what they predict, it's going to open the doors to people that might put something in the food in a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Will competitors be tempted to poison other's food since the announcement multiplies any usually normal threat?

I'm betting that this is just something Homeland Security put out to see how much the people heed their word.

I never ever eat at salad bar or any type of buffets. They are the grossest things there are. I rarely even eat out. I have seen peoples kids pick up stuff at the buffets with bare hands then put it back and all kinds of gross stuff.
That was enough for me.

Absolutely. People are 100% entitled to defend themselves and the people that are under their care. I totally agree with that.

However, I am not under the USG's care. The DHS can kindly get the hell out of my life.

If the DHS wants to be useful, they can release any and all intelligence they have about any and all terrorist plots in real time. Let we the people decide what to be afraid of.

Terrorism is forbidden in the Islamic religion. If there are extremists within the group, they don't represent the whole. I don't think Islam is supposed to be an extremist religion. It's more about peace according to this link and clip.

If al Qaeda actually exists, it doesn't seem to have much to do with Islam at all. But, I think our media wanted us to think that Muslims were these blood thirsty individuals. And being that many of us don't know much about Islam, I'll bet a lot of people bought the whole idea. It's easy to put ideas in someone's head, if they don't have any information about it. I'm sure there are plenty of wonderful Muslim people.
