What are your favorite Holiday Movies?

For me, it's a combo of old and newer classics. All of these have a nice tear-jerk ending.

Miracle on 34th Street

It's a Wonderful Life

Scrooged

Elf

Santa Claus: The Movie

The Santa Clause (first one)

Then of course, there are the stop-animation favorites and cartoons:

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon, not movie)

Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Santa Claus is Coming to Town, etc.

I've been wondering that too...How DID I leave that one out? I can recite it basically word for word!

That scene where they go to the Chinese Restaurant on Christmas....
The bully with yellow eyes....
You'll shoot your eye out!
Drink your Ovaltine....
The tongue to the flagpole (I've actually seen this done...the real solution is just to use warm (not hot or cold) water...)
The visit with Santa... Ho, Ho, Ho!

Gremlins!

and of course if you have a very strong stomach

Black Christmas (the original one)

I don't think I could find a clip of that film that doesn't contravene the T&C's though

Since everyone has covered all of the ones I would have mentioned....hmmmm

Actually, my favorite holiday movies are the personal ones from a Christmas past. I never need a TV or DVD player for any of those.

I watched a 1984 horror called "silent night, deadly night" that was on the Horror channel last night. I would recommend it as a great holiday film.
All of the traditional value of a low budget 80's horror movie, a man with psychological problems going on a killing spree dressed as Santa, and as in all good 80's horrors you get to see linnea quigley half naked
