I have a relevant question,
whats the difference between a "fanatical" muslim performing despicable acts in the
name of his god and the"moderate" muslim rejoicing in those same acts and praising the same god for willing it?

The same difference that exists between a US soldier shooting some random Iraqi civilian, and the guy sitting at home holding his Desert Eagle while thinking "hell yeah" to himself while watching the report on TV.

Glenn Beck comes across about as genuine as the Easter Bunny.

However, many, many people buy into his ridiculous program (both of the radio and television) as news FACT, just like other so called "opinion" programming on FOX News such as "Bill O'Reilly" and the average person can't tell the difference between News FACT and FOX News commentary.

These are probably the same people who as children didn't realize that cartoons weren't real.

Yeah, and soon people add their own spin by claiming "several intelligence agencies" came up with that number...but they obviously never bother checking if that's the truth or not. Sad really, just shows how brainwashed some people are by the media (on both sides).

You have no clue what you're talking about. Stop getting your info from OPINION shows like Beck and start looking at facts! Even the link above clearly shows that support (as in: believe the actions of Al Qaeda are good) for Al Qaeda in Muslim countries is low. Of those who believe they're not horrible, only a tiny minority are actual terrorists. The rests are just misguided and don't act on their misguided beliefs...kinda like fundies who believe gays should die. You can't call them terrorist just for that!

While views of Hamas and Hezbollah are mixed, al Qaeda -- as well as its leader, Osama bin Laden -- receives overwhelmingly negative ratings in nearly all countries where the question was asked. More than nine-in-ten (94%) Muslims in Lebanon express negative opinions of al Qaeda, as do majorities of Muslims in Turkey (74%), Egypt (72%), Jordan (62%) and Indonesia (56%). Only in Nigeria do Muslims express positive views of al Qaeda; 49% have a favorable view and just 34% have an unfavorable view of bin Laden's organization. (Findings regarding opinions of al Qaeda and bin Laden were previously released in "Obama More Popular Abroad Than at Home, Global Image of U.S. Continues to Benefit," June 17, 2010.)

pewresearch.org...

For those unable distinguish thet spin from the facts..........Support for terrorism, AQ specificaly in this case is NOT LOW - it is a significant proportion of the population, 6%,26%, 28%,38%, 44%, 51%
(support for Hezbollah and Hammas is much higher)

Ok beck did say terrorists - though he clearly meant terror supporters.

You claim this is nothing diferent than fundies in the US - really!, can you imagine if we were sending people to blow up random civilians in M.E shopping centres that 30-50% of the population would be cheering them on!!!!

The people believing the terrorists are great aren't any better or worse than the people cheering at Muslims/gays/blacks/etc being killed. They all don't act on their belief, and are therefore NOT terrorists.

Are you saying fundies have more rights to believe gays should die than terrorists have to believe non-believers should die? And that's just them, add the racists and other bigots. They're all misguided, but none of them can be classified as a terrorist as they don't act out their belief!!

They're not supporting the terrorists either by acting in any way. Just like the average Christian had nothing to do with that crazy abortion doctor murderer...but I bet there were quite a few who rejoiced a little inside. Same thing!

And saying Beck MEANT to say something completely different than what he actually said is dishonest. How come YOU know what he meant? All we have to go by is his clip, and he CLEARLY says terrorist...not once, but multiple times! Open your eyes, seriously!

Ok ...........have it your way Beck really thinks there are 150 million terrorists, and Muslims are really peaceloving and tolerant people - no more likely to engage in terror attacks than your average fundie church goer!
