Stop looking to the internet for attention or guidance. no one really cares. hell, if you did die whats the significance to any of us? you're just one of thousands dying every second.

Heres a bit of advice though: If your not happy change something get up and go somewhere. who says you need to goto school if you don't want to? who says working 9-5 is a necessity? Stop blaming "the man" and make something of your life if its so damn boring or whatever.

Or don't. and keep sitting on your ass. either way is fine.

I wish I was eighteen again, I think I would have done things differently, most likely NOT, since my brain wasn't fully developed,

Now at my age I am just coo coo for cocoa puffs, I like this age actually, not the aches and pains but I feel a sense of freedom, not so self conscious, give yourself forty more years, all the knowledge you learn and life lessons will make a difference, maybe

You guys are so young, bless your hearts.

Geez Louise. Um, there are actually people that care, so don't speak for everyone.

And give the kid a break, he's only 17!

You're 17? You want to live a free life and have some fun? You wanna have some fun do ya kid? Huh? You wanna play some games? Wanna eat some ice-cream at the beach? Splash in the water? Laugh? eh? Do ya wanna roll on the grass and look at the clouds? Hmm? But you don't have any money to play some games? There's no money for YOU to play some games and have fun? No money to travel the world?? No?

Wake-up call. You're going to need to change that childish attitude now. You're going to be a man now. Games and fun are for children. Get these silly ideas of "fun" out of your head now. You need money do you? - You know why you need money? It's not to travel you know. It's not for fun. It's to put food in that belly of yours. You can choose two options - which both involve work. - You can hunt for your food. Or you can do the equivalent of hunting for your food with a job. No job, no food. No hunting, no food. That's life kid. You're going to be a man, it's time to start thinking like one.

Or you can continue to cry like a little baby. "Mommy, I want some money! I want to have fun!" That's the problem with you kids today - you expect everything for nothin'. If you were my kid, I'd say, "Aww, boo hoo, little Lord Faunt LeRoy doesn't have any money to have fun!" - Do you know that there are people in the world with REAL problems? You know there are children out there being sexually abused, tortured and killed? - You know of starvation and misery? And YOU want to have fun!!? You make me sick. Pathetic little child. Grow up, kid. The world isn't your oyster.

your lucky to have woken up at such a young age. I wish i could go back to age 17 i would do things so differently. If i were you i would find a role in life that i love, dont worry about how much it pays, happiness is more important than money, trust me i know, i used to be reasonably well off with a job i hated, now im doing something i love without much pay but i get by. Dont tie yourself down to responsibilites until you feel that you are reasonably happy with your life, once you have children, a home and bills, your options become very limited. I became a mum at 23, my daughter is 19 and just finished college and doesnt know what she wants to do with her life, she likes buying clothes and partying, she thinks im a kook being into all this spiritual metaphysical stuff, i wish she had more of a spiritual personality, i find it quite awesome that a person as young as you can think about his existance and the world the way you do. Your not on you own my love, i dont feel like this world is home, ive always felt this, but im here, were here, short of suicide we dont have a choice. Find people who think the same as you, i found this site, its really helps, it makes you realise your not the only nutjob in the world. Im embarressed to make this confession because i feel i should be stronger, but im not the only one on this site that feels like this, a part of me really wants the shtf in the next couple of years, i really want the world to change, but am ashamed to say it because of what am i wishing for my fellow man.
anyway verbal diarheoa over, keep well.

Complain about the world, or actively take part in molding it...your choice.

Don't like school, but want to live in a resource abundant socialist style utopia...then get serious about science and work in nanotechnology.

All young adults go through the angst before finding their "calling". We all were 17 once, wondering what the point was, not wanting a 9-5 lifestyle, etc...but then you find something that intrigues and interests you...you push past your party days (thats to come still for you I imagine) and actually feel like you could change something..make something better for this world, be it small or large..but its something you can actively push around and alter to your vision.

That is what its about...finding what you want (not like...a car or a girlfriend, but something you want the world to be) and focusing in on trying to make that happen.

The world will move aside for someone with focus

If you're in high school then your emotions are all over the place because of your hormones, and not because you're crazy or odd. Alot of young people feel that way. The trick is controlling your hormones for good.

Use the boost of testosterone to do something athletic or take advantage of the only time in your life when you're basically on steroids, and lift some weights. Get ripped. Start taking Jiu Jitsu, and by the time you're 26 you'll be a high level player and you can make money off of it. Go hook up with girls, and go to party's, and do crazy stuff.

Or, put your mind into it and don't worry about all the social crap, study your ass off and get into a good school.

There in lies many paths....

The choice is yours. But realize hormones are drugs and you're on a %^% load of drugs.

I feel the same way about life as you do, but you've just got to keep going on, no matter what happens. I know that's probably a response that you get from alot of people, but believe me, I tried to commit suicide once, and I learned how important life really is. Maybe volunteer if you want to make the world a better place, or go for a wilderness sabbatical in a local park, it really helps.

I felt exactly the same way as you when I was your age. If you're not rich you're going to have to get some stupid job. First I decided how much money I needed to realistically get by. Then I found the available jobs that could pay that amount. Then I chose the field that I thought I was most interested in and could succeed in. Then you get training focused on what you need to know avoiding unrelated garbage. After training put out your resume and cover letter to job prospects. Eventually you will succeed.

Having a good job is way better than going to school. Instead of working yourself to death for nothing you get rewarded with money and benefits.

confuse. this is one of tools song its called aenema. ill post the lyrics just in case you havent heard it.

Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will.
I sure could use a vacation from this
Bull# three ring circus sideshow of
Freaks
Here in this hopeless #ing hole we call LA
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.
Any #ing time. Any #ing day.
Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona bay.

Fret for your figure and
Fret for your latte and
Fret for your lawsuit and
Fret for your hairpiece and
Fret for your prozac and
Fret for your pilot and
Fret for your contract and
Fret for your car.
It's a
Bull# three ring circus sideshow of
Freaks
Here in this hopeless #ing hole we call LA
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.
Any #ing time. Any #ing day.
Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona bay.

Some say a comet will fall from the sky.
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves.
Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still.
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dip#s.
Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will.
I sure could use a vacation from this
Stupid #, silly #, stupid #.
One great big festering neon distraction,
I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied.
Learn to swim x3.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Mom's comin' round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Learn to swim x8.
# L Ron Hubbard and
# all his clones.
# all those gun-toting
Hip gangster wannabes.
Learn to swim x8.
# retro anything.
# your tattoos.
# all you junkies and
# your short memory.
Learn to swim x7.
# smiley glad-hands
With hidden agendas.
# these dysfunctional,
Insecure actresses.
Learn to swim x8.

'cause I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way.
I wanna watch it all go down.
Mom please flush it all away.
I wanna see it go right in and down.
I wanna watch it go right in.
Watch you flush it all away.

Time to bring it down again.
Don't just call me pessimist.
Try and read between the lines.
I can't imagine why you wouldn't
Welcome any change, my friend.
I wanna see it all come down.
Put it down.
Suck it down.
Flush it down.

Go listen to some Linkin Park, they know exactly how you feel.

I must also tell you that your thoughts are no different from many other teenagers.
You and everyone else buddy, I suggest you man up and grab life by the balls instead of being one of the thousands or millions of whiny bitchy teens on the internet who want attention.

I'm sorry, but I am a bit tired of this story.
Also, move out of the city if you get the chance.

I felt the same way growing up. I always saw life from a different angle. I understood that a system is in place here to keep people from a freedom that no country on earth can give you. If you see this life as a chance to show that you can empower yourself to move beyond the rules they set - You then can find what you seek!

Hello, I don't know if your still reading these, I've skipped a few pages & I'm sure you've received some great advice.
I think your studies are maybe the thing frustrating you the most. It can be frustrating & quite hard work, & you say to yourself"is this hard work actually worth it?". I've done school & college work that just wasted my precious time & even wasted my money. And I'm guessing you're thinking, as I am, because I've just returned to university study: "if it is all over in 2012 why aren't I backpacking through Europe or Australia?" Am I right so far?
There's a nice little book called Illusions by Richard Bach, it starts with a nice little story about little creatures living at the bottom of the river bed. They were all programmed to cling to the bottom to 'survive', but one little creature said "I'm going to stop clinging!!" the others said "you will die" but he let go and the river took him somewhere like he was flying.

cheer up buddy. You are far from alone with those feelings. I can remember my similar frustrations at your age, they led to a suicide "gesture". That was in the early 90s, and I'm still having the same thoughts as you at 35. I think you'll be better once you realize that the world really has just as much good as it does bad. We all just pay attention to the bad. We have no choice, that's all that's portrayed. Do me and yourself a good favor...right now, smile, really smile, for 10 seconds or so. Untill it makes you feel good. If it's possible for me then I knoww it's possible for you. Seriously man, people are awesome, even people you and I would deem absolutly pathetic...they're doing what they've been molded to do. Love everyone, and love yourself. Continue to learn about the world and yourself, trust me...you know very little thus far. Believe me, you're not alone. It's all good man. Just smile.

You can always join the Military and fight somebody elses war for reasons you may never
know or understand. There's ALWAYS a vacancy coming up for the Military.

Yeah damn right mate. Go and live on the streets and be a drug addict like all the other losers who blame everybody but themselves and want no responsibility. You could drop out of school but you're just a chicken whinger who want's attention and people to give them things rather than actully work and contribute to society.
You could immigrate to other countries where things are simpler, less complicated, consumerism is small, and one does their own thing... Haiti has all you need.
You wont go there because you'd miss out on on the luxuries you're already used to, want more of, and aren't prepared to work hard for.
You'll be dependant on the government - you hate, all your life, you'll cheat lie and do anything to get ahead, make others miserable in the process and probably die young, unsatisfied, and miserable being a burden on the taxpayer.

My 14 years old reads your blurb and wonders what's wrong with you.
