Obama Injured During Basketball Game, Gets 12 Stitches in Lip

This is called schadenfreude.

People in the upper echelons of government are notoriously unpopular, so it's no wonder that some people raised a chuckle at the news that the POTUS had an elbow smacking him in the face which resulted in a busted lip.

People are so PC and easily offended. He suffered a minor scrape, that is all.

It would only be in bad taste if he was seriously hurt, which he is not.

It's like ''Dubya'' choking on a pretzel; mildly amusing.


Having said that, I don't find this incident particularly amusing, but I can understand why other people might do so.

well it looks like karma will have its own way with mr obama despite all his efforts to thwart off whats meant for him.

i dont think this will be the last of karma that he will be seeing. well done to whoever did it.

The White House did not initially name the person who caused the injury, but identified him later Friday as Rey Decerega, director of programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.

The White House said the injury happened during their fifth and final game when Decerega turned to take a shot and hit Obama, who was playing defense, in the mouth with his elbow.
