People in the upper echelons of government are notoriously unpopular, so it's no wonder that some people raised a chuckle at the news that the POTUS had an elbow smacking him in the face which resulted in a busted lip.

People are so PC and easily offended. He suffered a minor scrape, that is all.

It would only be in bad taste if he was seriously hurt, which he is not.

Having said that, I don't find this incident particularly amusing, but I can understand why other people might do so.
