Star gate, Because I believe the story line to be very, very close to what actually happened and how we all got here on this rock.

The Thing, The Blob, Ants, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, The Matrix and 5th Element.
I didn't post trailers since 5th Element (hands down fav thanks to Chris Tucker) and Matrix are already here.
I wish they would make a movie out of Robt Heinlein's book ... When Gravity Fails.
I will have to see some of the others posted like Event Horizon, Silent Running, Stargate, esp Stargate!

When I finally die I don't think it will be "life" I miss the most - it will be the great movies we have here!
I already have irrational fears I missed some of these and they might be good.

Sci fi? Or just out of reality?

My fav would be.. I'll post 3 trailers, as I theyre all unique in their own way
and scary if you like your world pretty and petite..

Low budget, good cast, but to me, an awesome story... Some really good music too I might add.
INK.

Someone mentioned Bladerunner. Well, the guy who wrote Do androids dream of electric sheep, also wrote this masterpiece... This is just a mad journey into a crazy idea... Do not watch this off your nut - you'll miss it. Oh and for you really mad folk, it has alex jones in it.. lmao

A Scanner Darkly.

Now for the "you like your life huh??" Have a taste of the 1930s. These people are all real. They all liveed, loved, existed, and died. This movie was banned in the UK. Why? No one wanted to know about...

Freaks.

(Did you see Master from Master Blaster in Mad Max beyond thunderdome there
Haha

My favorite is the Matrix, the first one. Every time I watch it, I am just blown away by it and it gives me the chills. It was not at all what I was expecting when I first saw the trailer. It's the only movie I've ever seen in theaters more than once. The sequels I didn't like so much because they didn't provide too many answers. Kind of like a certain TV show that ended recently...

All of my other favorites have been mentioned here too!

Lots of good ones in the thread.

TBH I never been able to have a "favorite" anything, I always like many, whether it be songs, foods, books, women, or movies.

so obviously;
2001 for all kinds of reasons
A Boy and His Dog; fallout goodness, I recently discovered.
Mad Max, Beyond Thunderdome; need I say more?
Alien; RAWR!
Bladerunner
Terminator 2 was epic.
Back to the Future
Conan; does that count as Scifi?
Ghost in the Shell; jah!

ps: oh yeah, the first Matrix was jaw dropping when I first saw it in theaters, in 99.
