Remember when Petro Canada was federally owned......Hummmm......We are so busy at providing for others and trying to make a profit that we seem to forget that we can almost survive on our own resources......The tar sands, hydro electricity and a growing wind farm, energy should not be a problem for Canada at all but alas....Greed and politics are involved.....

thats it , Hell Vladmir , must be definitely a democrat , because if i were president and Canada was to bark too much , I would have made sure that Canada would glow radioactive for 1000 years

Well in the words of your own Davey Crocket, a senator ,, too , which goes to show u what shape your Senate is in,, "I could smile the bark off a tree" but in this case as a Canadian,, i ain't smiling. We tend too get that way when treatened with nuklear destruction,, is that the common mentality today amounst Americans? Don't worry we will just nuke everything?

As Fox stated, this is posturing. There is going to be a HUGE amount of oil/natural gas developed in the north in the next 25 years. There's 5 nations vying for it. Canada and Russia both making claims. Putin's just trying to show that he has the right, or the military right.

You mean kinda like,

"In 1968, in response to a brief period of liberalization, five Eastern Bloc other members of the Warsaw Pact invaded Czechoslovakia. Soviet tanks rolled into Prague on 21 August 1968.[9] Soviet Premier Leonid Brezhnev viewed this intervention as vital to the preservation of the Soviet, socialist system and vowed to intervene in any state that sought to replace Marxism-Leninism with capitalism."

ahh the good old days,,it was easy to understand,, versus today,, Resourse's Territority Canada's,, does it matter, ??

See above.

Nope nothings changed.

no not really but it is time to better manage and use our resources, I'm not big on government intruding in the free market but I would love to see a company like Petro Canada not be taxed on condition of a greener program and resources going to Canadians at a fair market price.

There are ways of working the system without draining the middle class pocket. Encourage small businesses all the way up to multinational corporation to establish themselves here in Canada, lets say,TAX free, on strict environmental conditions and employment.
