I despise any and all forms of religion.

Of course I get angry when they raise taxes on the rich. I get angry when they raise taxes on anyone, let alone a single specific group of people under the guise of "they can afford it".

There is no difference between Democrats, and Republicans. NONE.

The US has a ONE PARTY system, and it has for a long time now. The Donkey and Elephant show is just a distraction, keeps people thinking they have a "choice".

In the odd case where part of the show includes a "real" issue or two, or an "important" candidate that isn't completely blackmailable, then the next part of the game is implemented, VOTE FRAUD (well documented, the USA is utterly corrupt to the core).

So, does a person's vote do any good, at all? Yes, and no. In the sense that a vote provides data to the elite regarding how effective their various schemes are going, how gullible the sheeple are, etc., then people can indeed "send a message" that at least informs TPTB how fed-up their subjects are about different facets of their tyranny. But, there's a downside to this. What they do with the data you give them, is use it against you. Their Plan will still march forward, whether this way or that, faster or slower, but their Will be done. Period.

Depressing? A little, but we should be used to it by now.

Solution? Spread the word. When someone says, "Republicans / Democrats are DEMONS!" Stop them, let them know that they are deceived, help them out, ask them to do some homework perhaps. If they are "too old" (too brainwashed / stubborn / stupid) to learn any new tricks, then don't waste your time.

Even better than spreading the word about things that don't matter all that much would be raising people's awareness about things that really DO matter. There is enough that is so radically wrong and twisted, that if even a few percent of the people "awakened", TPTB could find themselves seriously back-pedaling.

Well, good luck OP, but here on ATS, I tend to think the average person isn't quite as vulnerable to the age-old "Hooray for our side" mentality that was immortalized by that popular song so many decades ago. Sort of gives me hope at times!

Who was it that decided for all of us that WE HAVE to do that? Freedom means making it or breaking it on your own. If you make it big, being free means that you can live in a crystal tower and laugh at the people living in refrigerator boxes; you arent REQUIRED to give them anything.

Leave me alone...I have my home and my land...I work my job and i make good money on hard work....If you want to smoke crack and eat out trash cans instead of working then that is your choice; you have been free to make it all this time. Leave my hard earned money alone too

I wasn't going to chime in on this thread, because of the current atmosphere so far, but I thought it best to do so.

I cannot believe the absolute ignorance of some people! The world is a complex place, not black or white (left or right) as many of you insist that it is. Not all Tea party members are racist and not all Liberals are socialists! It is these harsh generalizations that continually divide people into political ideologies that will never find common ground, allowing the government to serve the people, instead of serving politicians and partisans.

We should be concerned with providing an atmosphere of healthy debate in order to find the best route for our governments and the people. This continual left VS. right only serves to empower TPTB and others who wish to control the outcome of our fates.

I think we all need to look within, before we point a finger and ridicule those that disagree with an idea different than our own. And for the love of all things holy, can we have a discussion of the issues without people acting like immature teens in a high school debate class? C'mon people!!!

There has been democrats almost as long as there has been a USA.

Yes, the Democratic party has changed quite a bit. You are correct. But have you also seen the manipulation from the Right? It's not as cut and dry as many make it seem.

The Tea Party started as an "independent" movement, only to be engulfed back into the Republican fold. That's one reason why I disagree with the OP's blanket statements towards the Tea Party.

Like I said before, it is best to look within before we point fingers....otherwise we will have just as many pointing right back at us.

Well heres a breakdown of your ingenious reply...

1. (Crime against me and family) Well I DO pay my taxes...It pays for a LOCAL police dept to RESPOND AFTER THE CRIME HAS BEEN COMMITTED. I have my own protections at home. I have the "100lb pissed off german shepherd and really pissed off trained gun owner security system" at my house.

2. (fire) Again, i do pay taxes and that pays for a LOCAL fire brigade to come extinguish the flames.

3. (health insurance) I have a job...I pay $115 a week for good insurance...Im pretty well covered without govt intrusion.

4. (bridges) jeez i dont know...I know that i cant really go anywhere without an armed officeial of the govt trying to catch me to fine me. Sure i like bridges...they are convenient but i think my local taxes could probably be used to keep them up.

5. (clean the streets) actually we have a program in NH called "Adopt a Highway"...ppl volunteer to keep them clean. I clean up the trash on my road because i take pride in my nieghborhood. I dont need a federal employee to come pick up trash for $38/hour

After all that...youve shown that you are completely dependent on the federal government to give you every essential service...what happens when the government shuts down? answer. YOU WILL DIE.
