Book of Boondock Saint

Chapter 2

1) In those days of
great suffering of
the new Saints.
A great evil was in
the midst of the land.

2) The poor and broken
spirits of the many called
upon God to free them
from bonds of tyranny
and oppression.

3) Plagues, floods, wars,
famines, corruption, death
and treachery had destroyed
the very foundation of culture.

4) Millions exiled from
dwellings and many lose
their craft from
a lost faith, from whom
bestowed trust in evil men.

5) Prayers were offered up
unto the heavens for
God's blessings to be restored
unto the multitudes.

6) And God said unto them,
what God do you truly seek?
You have lost faith in me,
I have found you in disfavor.

7) You have mocked my name,
allowed false religions and
cultural correctness to sway
the multitudes when
I asked of you to be fishers
of men and keep my laws
holy.

8) You sleep among the
Devil's prostitutes and sell
yourselves to the high
bid. Greed engulfs your
very soul.

9) You sleep man with man
and woman with woman in defiance
of my written law.

10) You kill, rape, torture
and maim in my name and plagiarize it
as a just war or a necessary
cause.

11) You have turned your backs
to your creator and your saviour.
You have blasphemed against me.
This is why you are in your
present condition.

12) Your desperate prayers
go unheard as you have not
repented and changed your
evil ways.

13) Ask of a pure heart
and a saved soul and it shall
be yours in due time. Ask without, and
you fall deeper into the bottomless
pit of sin and despair.

14) Go yea therefore into
the land and set the standard.
Correct what is evil in your
heart and mind according
to my written word so that the light
may lead you to righteousness.

15) Shout it from the mountains
to the seas that there is only
one God who exist in three person.
God the father, God the Son
and God the Holy Spirit.

16) Be ye ashamed of or deny me
and I shall be ashamed of
and deny you.

17) Who before you now can truly
say his soul is written in the
book of life?

18) Who before you now can truly
say his heart holds the presence
of the one almighty God?

19) Let him come forth and speak.

20) This is why your land and
your lives are in this state.

21) Trust in me with your whole
heart and soul and an eternity
of love, peace and understanding
shall be yours forever and ever.

Damn! 16 ,17 and 18 are harsh....That's the real clincher isn't it?
Who can be found indeed, reminds me of Sodom. No surprise there.

Well this definitely has a weighty meaning to it. Also I notice many people would rather choose to misunderstand God, as the invisible, mystical sky Santa, than as a powerful being.
Not surprising really, but what can you do?
In the end it all comes down to choice, and we all have one life and one death.....then judgment.

enlighten them !!!
is that not the prime directive
we already have in hand
from God?

Yeah that's the directive boondock.
A hard task when so many minds are closed.
Some claim an open mind but then in turn essentially close it with science thereby filling the vacuum of necessity with a foreign object, as history has shown.

Science, New Age Mysticism or any number of things, people find a way to fill that void with anything and everything but the simplicity of God.

Too bad really.

Great story so far my friend.

It has a little bit of bias in it for my taste, particularly number 9, and references to written word.

But who cares, it is your story, tell it how it comes. I am digging it.

Judge not, Love all, be at peace

With Love,

Your Brother

no disrespect
but that seems to be the norm now days.
religions want to erase certain portions
of the Bible to suit political correctness.
There is no political correctness in heaven
and we shouldn't cherry pick which scriptures
we want to keep and or throw away.
God hasn't changed
nor has his laws
but society tries

Science?

I know man... how dare people work to eradicate disease and advance the human race.
Try and figure out the reality of our universe and so on..... look for renewable energy and explore space etc etc.

I am not out to erase certain portions of the Bible my friend. I dismiss most of the Bible for what it is, a tool to control the masses, mostly through limitless interpretations. Gods law is simple enough for a child to understand, Love God with all your being (this existence), and your neighbor as yourself. All else is just Man's additions and skewed interpretation of Gods Law.

But, this is just my perspective my friend. If it brings you joy, happiness, and love for all, keep your own.

With Love,

Your Brother

true your words are is your heart just as true? for the time has come for the words to be of the heart, the time for stepping on egg shells has past now is the day of toes, for some will not hear nor see the truth.

Well you have performed flawlessly at missing my point...kudos..

With any luck and a little thinking you may find that my point is based on the historical fact that when people have no understanding of something they try to fill the void with whatever makes them feel comfortable.
Typically this has been religion and spirituality, not to mention other various forms of mysticism and of course magic practices real or otherwise. However the new gap filler for now anyway is science as it gives people a reason not to consider an eternal consequence for actions performed in life or paths taken.
A good person may exist anywhere and do many great things, but a good person is still a cursed person who is as good as dead.. (biblically speaking)... uh oh....I just mentioned the bible in an off handed way my bad..

Science, is a great tool for learning and understanding the universe we are in, unfortunately at the present we do not understand the universe we live in and moreover can not understand God as God may be indistinguishable from the laws of the same universe we study.
The sad part comes when people choose to apply meaninglessness to their existence thereby creating a self fulfilling prophecy if you will where in people are no more than debris floating around uselessly.

Religion has killed countless people in countless wars, Science has facilitated that killing, and there are those on both sides who live for one or the other. Extremists exist whether you believe in a god or not.

Also a persons mind is hardened to accept one thing or another regardless of proof. This can be pointed out in various ways but exists on both the Atheist and believer side.

Ultimately we just make a choice, free will is the SH%$!

So I'm glad you can role your eyes and make snide comments, you have that right, and of course I'm not going to ram my views down your throat one way or the other.

Awesome

But science is understanding.
Science isn't some thing that people fill their mind with because they can't figure out god?

And if it wasn't for the dark ages and religion's intolerance of science, mankind would be a hell of a lot further down the road than we are.

Oh well.

And whether god exists or not is the most pointless question and argument around.

Just live your life, be nice to people and do good in the world, that's all that matters.

And maybe come up with some cures and ways to make peoples lives a little better (science
)
