Anytime and as far as 2012 goes I guess its all based on the location of Earth the Sun and the CME exit point. There are also mentions of Earth heading towards a stellar plasma cloud. I dont EVEN worry about 2012
because it may be sooner aswell as a good interaction for some.. If its gonna be all doom and gloom then we must experience the lows to appreciate the highs my friend.

The solar activity is on the rise again after a short rest - this one is pretty impressive. Will keep an eye out for anything heading toward earth. Thanks OP!

No it's not scary it's just a CME coronal mass ejection.

I normally look in on this site from time to time, but lately I have stayed away. I get interested and then the Sun goes quiet again! LOL

Nobeyama Radioheliograph

It shows that particular sunspot had been there since Oct 1, and now has moved beyond our directional, but this next site shows a big one coming from around on the Southwestern flank.

Radiowave Propagation Center

Thanks for bringing the SOHO forward! Isn't it a Beautiful Star! I am amazed that we are so blessed by the Sun.

It's not shaping up that way with the minimum carrying on for an extended stay. I don't think there is any correlation between 2012 and the solar max as they will occur in different years.
