Australian lawyer smokes pages of Bible and Koran, asking 'Which is best?'

www.teleg raph.co.uk

An Australian lawyer, Alex Stewart, has smoked pages torn from the Koran and the Bible, posting the video on YouTube just days after an American Pastor's threat to burn the Muslim holy book caused worldwide outrage

I read this and had to laugh. Here we go. On one side of the Pacific we have an Idiot Preacher who burned the Koran as well as the US flag now we have an Australian who not only burned it but smoked it and the bible.

Whats Going on?

I was a bit confused about where to post this at first. I wasn't sure if it should go here or in the Alt. Sub. Conspiracies board for obvious reasons.

That's pretty funny, though not exactly original. In one particular video, Marilyn Manson does lines off of a bible and used to rip one up on stage. The video's several years old and people have done similar things to holy texts even before then; I really don't see why people are getting so upset.

At one stage he inhales deeply from one of the roll-ups before blowing out the smoke and commenting: "Holy".

Ok, what we have here is - a few extremist idiots, mixed with a few fundamentalist jerks, mixed with a few jokers trying to be funny, mixed with (maybe?) a few trying to make a point about the "bigger picture" ... best I can do to explain it. Lol. People and the statements they feel they have to make ... geez.

You can have two threads on the same topic as long as they are in two different boards/forums.

As a person who has smoked the bible in the past,i can say with some authority that "gods" word left a bad taste in my mouth.

Sheeesh talk bout your holy roller.

I wonder if this will cause such an outrage as that nut job preacher did?

I highly doubt it.

Well i don't know about him,but the bible was there in my hour of darkest need.
And like most of the bible arguments, the rollie would unravel at the worst times.

George Orwell's 1984,now there was a gooood smoke.

lol In jail they use bible paper to roll cigarettes. The book is everywhere, and when you have no rolling papers, you gotta improvise

Wow, this is not the craziest thing i've ever heard
craziest thing i've ever heard is a member of the Rolling Stones rolling a joint made up of that member's father's ashes, and he smoked his own father.

As far as this is concerned, why would anyone want to smoke ink flames?

to make a statement?
Pshhhhhhhhhhhh

If he put a little "something something" in those papers he 'rolled up', than he is a cool dude who knows whats up.

If there was nothing in those papers, he is an idiot for wasting good rolling paper.

I can't help but crack up though, it's quite hilarious.

Now this is raises an interesting question to me.

What's the difference between smoking the Bible, the Koran, or Joker 1.5s?

Is it any more harmful to smoke a Bible page than it is to smoke a regular rolling paper?

Depending on the answer, atheists who roll their own cigarettes might have just found a much cheaper alternative.

Well i was thinking of rolling with Richard Dawkins, but on second thoughts it may leave my lungs feeling spiritually unfulfilled.

MA - I think it was Keith Richards and he said he snorted up a line of his father's ashes. A couple of years ago he made a retraction of sorts.

You've got to get the "sticky" edge really good and ragged... lots of fibers, and wet it pretty good to make it stick. Then it won't unravel.

If that helps, thank a muslim - it was a muslim who showed me how to roll yer own with ungummed papers.

Sort of gives a whole new dimension to the "R" in "ROFLMAO", don't it?
